Need to do agar, ran out of plates

I'm wanting to do some agar work tomorrow but I am currently out of plates and all I have are quart jars that aren't really practical to reach down into.
I don't have micropore tape So no pastyplates.
Any other bright ideas?

you dont "need" micropore tape to do pasty plates. just unscrew the lid SLIGHTLY before PC'ing so it doesn't collapse under pressure. you should also use foil too. when the PC cycle is done, let it cool naturally and then screw the lids back on, with clean hands and don't touch the edges of the lid. that's what i do and it works fine. you may get more condensation this way but be sure to pour it out when you're in your SAB.

Now I suppose I could lay a quart on its side. It may prove horribly awkward though.

Yeah yeah. Just ordered a few more sleeves. Guess I'll toss this culture in the fridge.
