Denial Of Drought

In this case, stupidity and wishful thinking start at "the top". Governor Brown denies California has a drought problem, proposes a "spaceship earth" fix, yet monies to the tune of almost a third of a billion dollars of "drought relief" didn't even get spent and the rest was for food for illegals. You can't make this shit up, although he seems to want to.
His "solution" is the same one rejected when he was Governor 33 years ago, the "peripheral canal" to move water from the Delta in Northern CA to Southern CA.
The other nonsensical supposed solution is desalinization plants, even though that would represent a literal "drop in the bucket" even if they were built all along the coast. Then the piping to take this water wherevever it needs to go? Or will we just beam it down from space, Governor Moonbeam?

It's not easy being a governor I would imagine, especially when there are issues with no quick easy solutions.

Let's talk about Linda Ronstadt. The governor has been on a babe drought since he let her slip away.

Just popping in. Good to see there's still some very deep philosophy going on here.

When Gov. Jerry Brown was with Linda Ronstadt she was really hot. California has this weird system where the governor and lieutenant governor are elected separately. So Liberal Jerry Brown is running the state and Conservative Mike Curb (a one hit wonder musician himself) is the Lieutenant Governor. Jerry Brown was out of the state or out of the country, so Mike Curb puts all this conservative policy through by executive order.
Jerry Brown had just flew back and Linda Ronstadt was doing a concert. She opened with that oldie.
"My boyfriend's back and your gonna be in trouble Hey Hey, my boyfriends back"
But seriously on the California drought, most of the Western U.S. is in big trouble, except the Northern parts. Remember that classic film, "Chinatown". The growth of California since post WWII has always been based on the need for water.

He was pushing the same idiotic peripheral canal proposal 33 years ago, and it got voted down then. How much more time does he need to come up with a different "solution"?
As to your question as to what my solution would be, I don't have one in this case. It's also becoming apparent that the farmers are drilling deeper and deeper wells to suck the aquifers down which means that reserve will be gone along with the snow pack. Land is dropping a foot a year in places with the aquifers dropping a hundred feet a year.
This governor seems to think that CA can hit 50 million people given the water situation, with 38 million people already "tapping it out".

The drought is a secret tactic to get the illegals to go back to Mexico.

The human body is mostly water. Just convert half of all Californians into water, solve the overpopulation and water problem in one fell swoop.
