Hi just wondering if anyone knows what species this mushroom is? Found in birch sawdust in clusters. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Thanks....I cant seem to find anything online or in the field guide lol. I am assuming not edible anyway. Apparently some armillaria species are bio-luminescent, going to take a look tonight lol.

Armillaria are edible, but those aren't them. If I had to guess I would say Pholiota, but a TI will tell us we are both wrong soon.

That genus isn't even found in the field guide I have....is it even worth looking into? I read on a couple sites that some of the Kuehneromyces are edible, but can easily be mistaken for the poisonous G. marginata.

That pretty much sums it up. Probably not worth the risk.
