Cactus ID

I found this pair of cacti at a garden center down the street. To me, they represent Trichocereus well, but just cant put my finger on which species. Doesn't look like any of the usual ones I see.
Ideally I picked these up as possible graft stocks. Any ideas guys?

I'm thinking their some type of Stenocereus. I've seen them all over at the garden department stores around here lately.

The ribs look too angular/pointy, and the areoles/spines are the wrong color too. My money is on a myrtillocactus geometrizans

all of the other cacti had family names. This one was missing the ID.
The wavy edge and black spines made me think it might not be trich...but the ribs and coloring, and spine spacing seemed correct.

That would be a really strange looking myrtle. Ive got dozens and none look similar at all.
Its always possible..the new spines on one do appear similar to blyue myrtle.

Actually, the more I look at more mature blue myrtles, the more likely it is.
In that case, I am super stoked about this find.

The spine clusters looked black on black at first..but I can see the black on white now. Also All of my current myrtles were seed grown, and thus have that young new cacti shape. These are obviously cuttings, which thrills me, because they are probably off a mature plant, which means I might actually get some bilberrys soon.
I feel so foolish not being able to ID a blue myrtle..because it is a cactus I deal with on a daily basis. Just goes to show how differently they grow in different environments.

I haven't seen any in person yet, but from the pictures I think they're really nice looking and will definitely pick one up if I find it for sale locally.

Not sure where you live Bigheart, but every Wal-Mart where I live has that one little cactus stand with all the straw flower cacti and hibotan on them. They usually have one pot of 3 blue myrtles. That's how I was able to get the 25 or so I have.
The ones I found today appear to be from cuttings and I got them a different nursery

check again to make sure Bigheart. It is usually like a 4 ft high shelf and only 2 feet wide. They usually stick them at the end of one aisle of plants in the Walmart garden center.
I believe you, just want you to understand it can be easy to miss too. I also understand not all Walmarts have the same products.

I always check just in case. Ive found pedro at lowes on two occasions only. I also go to 6 or so lowes and home depots when I check.
