I like this idea a lot OP.

I wonder if it would help me learn a programming language faster. :strokebeard:

Unless you literally use the language every day for at least an hour
you are not gonna be learning a language.
LSD will not noticeably affect things for the better once you realized it's about saying the same boring things 100 times a day everyday.

My wife almost got a masters in German
shes really good at languages
but it wasn't until she moved to Germany
and used it consistently that she could speak German.

But if you really want to learn a language
without moving to the country
find a tandem partner to practice with using skype.

I really like the Skype idea, that is a good one. my thought was to use the mushrooms to learn the new language, because more neural passage ways are open while the psilocybin was active in the brain, mabe 0.20-0.30 depending on results?

I would think seeing that all language is a combination of squares, triangles, and circles. to simplify the process with repetitive  sequences seems plausible

In my experience only repetition and acknowledgement of failure and the occasionally compliment of language usage will create the really thick net necessary

It cant hurt to try low dosing,

But I've been in German 6 years and my German is still far from anything a native speaker would sound like. I can be understood but man am I sloppy.

Are you speaking on a daily basis though?

Yeah,
but sometimes you may never get the accent right
Gender is hard to remember and
you have the choice to speak slowly and more correctly
or faster and sloppy

When I work I speak and listen for sometimes 8 hours.

I have heard of studies that show an increase in visual acuity associated with psilocybin, but are there any learning studies?

I can not comment on the learning process, but microdosing definitely helps me seize the moments when I have an chance to put something I have already learned to use.

Drugs are not magically going to make everything better or easier. The only way to effectively learn a new language is through immersion. Even then if your over 12 yrs old your minds already passed that critical threshhold where learning a new language is easy. It takes countless hours to grind it into you when your already an adult. Micro dosing isnt going to do shit to help that.

Valproic acid is supposed to help put the brain into a more plasticized state similar to a childs :awesome:

no drugs are not magically gonna give your the skill set of a new language, but the question is, has anyone been successful with microdosing be it that it opens more passages in the brain.

I do web development all day at work. Once a few years back I microdosed at home. Someone called to ask me for a favor, they needed their resume edited & printed. Let's just say I didn't really understand how words work...or letters...or pixels...or computer screens :mushroom2:
