Issues at work with supervisor, what would you do?

I have been completely fine at my latest job until I accidentally brought my girlfriends phone to my job. She needed her phone because she had work and had her sister text me she was on the way. I am working on an assembly line and it is STUPID easy. Since I wasn't sure when she would be there I quickly cranked out a lot of units the next guy would need to work on, walked to the doorway to the outside about 50 feet away and seen my gf wasn't there, went back to work for 10 minutes and repeated this until the third time when she was outside waiting, I gave her the phone and that was it.
About 10 minutes later my supervisor comes and says he's been watching me walk away from my area and he doesn't want to be an asshole but I can't just leave my station. I tried to explain but he cut me off and said he doesn't care to hear the excuse.
One week passed by and today the HR woman and the warehouse manager ask me to come to a meeting and tell me my supervisor wrote them an e-mail about my "issue" and that he warned me about leaving my station and I "fixed the issue" for a few days but then continued leaving my station periodically. I told them about the phone stuff and how he didn't even let me tell him exactly why I was leaving in the first place and I told them I do not know wtf he is talking about me walking off randomly, I go take pisses here and there and go right back to work. I even see the warehouse supervisor in there every day and say hello. They both said something along the lines of "This isn't going to look negative on you we just want you to know we received the e-mail and now we are having this talk."
I said Ok, well what should I do? And they just said if something like the phone thing happens I must speak to the warehouse supervisor.... Ok, but what about the other days my supervisor's accused me of disappearing? I asked if production had dropped and they both said they looked into it and numbers were actually up.
SO, I have a fucktard supervisor who is looking to get me in trouble for taking pisses and production actually has been up since I was put into my position. I have been applying for new positions all afternoon but should I just brush this off?

That's when you tell HR that your supervisor has been giving you strange looks everyday and started acting different after you didn't accept his/her inappropriate gestures he has been making towards you and he/she started treating you different after you denied his/her attempts. Then act all shy and innocent and like you don't want to talk about it because you've felt uncomfortable about it ever since. Boom.
If he/she wants to make shit up, play the game.

guy sounds like a dick, if i were you id stay at my post but not bust my ass like you have been and if they ask you why production is down tell them you can't work well while holding a piss. Its passive aggressive and might get them to ease up on you. that is unless you get extra pay from production being up.
For me my work environment is everything if my boss is a dick i go work for someone else but i guess i have the luxury of knowing some "Skilled labor" and there is a fuck ton of jobs for construction workers out here. Not sure what your job markets like or what skills you have so don't follow my advice if you can't afford getting shit canned.

I run my own strength and conditioning business right now but wanted another job to help me build up faster to continue buying equipment and saving for rent to actually move into a spot/pay down my student loan faster. If I leave though that's a huge cut to what I am bringing in so I don't really WANT to leave but I can't stand shit heads like this twat and feel like I should leave on principal now.
I don't even like the job, it's fucking assembly, it sucks but it's paying like 13 an hour during times I have no one to train with my business. I talked to my co-wroker who said that the company is just full of shit heads and I should just say fuck it and don't let it bother me but I dunno man... Dunno.

You should have told him about the phone thing as it was happening, but it doesn't seem like a big deal.
as a supervisor myself, I also know that sometimes you have to follow the rules too and report violations to your superiors. Yes you sometimes have to be an asshole too, is a job requirement actually.
Anyways I assume that you were aware of your works policies and are aware you violated them. That puts your supervisor in a tough spot if he doesn't report you, he risks losing hid own job, you cannot expect him to sacrifice his job potentially to let you break the rules, if you expect him to that kinda makes you the ashole, know what I'm sayin?

Yeah, just keep working. Never hurts to look for other jobs but while you're on the job just do what you're supposed to do. it's not a big deal.

Nope, was never told of any of this shit. I had 3 conduct manuals given to me and they were EXTENSIVE and I had to sign all three and turn them in(no work violence, sexual conduct, wear steel toed boots and etc.) I studied them, no where did it say anything about this type of thing and I figured if production was fine, then no harm no foul. That was a big part of the meeting today and I told the HR woman and warehouse supervisor that I am still unsure where the issue lies and that I am positive I was more productive during that time than if I had not had to walk away.
Now I know to go straight to the warehouse supervisor but they flipped the switch for me to look elsewhere and gtfo. It's funny because I finished my shit early and went and helped out 2 other lines iwth production because my job is so easy(Which I have told them and asked for more work.) I think it may end up being good for me, lit the flame to find something else already before I got stuck.

I've heard so much drama coming from warehouse jobs it's crazy. The supervisors always seem like straight up dicks. Shit, if u want to be a supervisor be a dick, it's really that simple.
But yea man, u gotta follow all the rules n shit to the book when dealing with such jobs, cuz they never trust u anyway, u just gotta take things slow and always ask questions.

Simply do your job, ask the super when you want to take a piss, he will get tired of you asking but that's what you have to do. Meanwhile, get your business going, look for another temp job and see what happens.
Do not start any drama, that is a losing game. Do what you are told and leave on good terms. You may need the reference.

you should just let it slide. Most people know if you leave your shift and a supervisor happens to see you not there they will bitch. Many times working at this old restaurant managers would just pick random things to bitch about to make it look like they were doing something. Things that had nothing to do with productivity. It's pretty funny now that I think about it.

I went in Wednesday and the supervisor approached me saying that he reported me but it wasn't a big deal and we should move forward. I asked him if it wasn't a big deal why bother turning me in for stuff that isn't even true? Why was production at normal and even higher levels if i was really walking away as frequent as you claim?
He just said not to worry about it. I laughed and told him I'm not worried because I'm going home to look for a new job. He just turned and walked away. I went to the warehouse manager and told the guy thank you for the opportunity but I don't want to waste time with the company because I witnessed how people are operating and he said good luck and seemed pretty sincere. I think the manager and the HR woman know it was bs because production was fine and a few days we did a few more units than usual.
I'm happy with my decision, I think if I stayed it would've been more of the same, I already had one interview yesterday and a few more next week so I am sure I'll be back to work in 3 weeks or so.

They know they can treat you like shit because there's a nearly unlimited supply of unskilled labor that would be happy to take that bullshit for $13 an hour.
They probably filled your job within the first hour you left.

This is why I only work for mom and pop companies. I don't want to deal with HR or stupid ass rules .
Have you thought about doing outdoor work? Like construction. It's lots less bullshit then factory work and pay is decent . Plus it keeps you in shape not that you need help with that.
I do mansory in the summer and fall. Do some tile and school in the winter and early spring.

I was in the exact same situation as you a while ago, except it was caused by me running the union up his ass on a couple different occasions. He was blatantly disregarding the rules and couldnt handle me spanking him since he was my superior. He started making shit up among the supervisors about me and started abusing the demerit system to get my forklift license revoked. As soon as that happened and he had me sweeping for 8 hours a day I walked out. Of course I couldve got the union to overturn things eventually but I wasnt gonna wait. Did that exact same thing you did. I was only out of work for about 3 weeks. Plus the extra 4 I took because I was absolutely loaded with my built up vacation pay when I left.

Witnessing people with kids that are shit out of luck and are stuck doing that type of work because that's what pays the bills was a wake up call.
I was bitching because I wasn't making what I wanted training enough clients so I went for a day job but this was the fire I needed to strap down and market myself more. I'd rather make less money and enjoy what I do than wake up going to that job any day.
