Cliffs at the bottom for those that dont want to read
Ok so hear me out. Theres always been a debate about whether hppd is even real or not. One side says the distortions were always there but we now just notice them and others say the opposite.
When it comes to psychadelics in general, and drugs in general, im very sensitive you could say. I love my high doses but frequently can get farther than you would think on very small doses of many substances.
I know im not the only one, ive talked to people that are the same way and can experience good effects on sub threshold doses.
With that being said could these type of "personalities" be more susceptible and thats why such the great divide on the subject?
I havent done nearly as much psychadelics as others and yet, im convinced i have somewhat of an hppd type deal. No not noticing a white wall isnt actually fully white. More like walls ripple heavily in the corners of my eyes, sometimes it looks like its peircing towards me and startles me. All tubular lights get the sliding effect. And sometimes items will look like theyre falling over for a second.
I KNOW for a fact these things did not happen before I used psychadelics. I dont say that in a bad way but its the truth.
So me and others having one of these personalities that can feel these subtle effects of substances so strongly on small doses might be more prone to have things like this happen.
Im indifferent on it all honestly and it doesnt bother me, i just had some idea and wanted some input.
- ive noticed there are certain people out there that tend to feel somewhat strong effects on sub threshold doses. Could these people have something in common that causes this which would also cause them to be succeptible to hppd?

I have HPPD. thanks for this post u helped me realize that HPPD isnt a big deal unless I make it one. I have deep rooted anxiety related to it. HPPDonline has many people who have extreme anxiety because of it.
to answer ur question, I am sensitive to drugs too. google HSP highly sensitive person. that fits me. HPPD seems to be connected with bad trips and we are sensitive. the drug takes away the mental barriers of sobriety and it may just be too much information for the brain cuz were sensitive. also having a dysfunctional family may lead to emotional insecurity like hiding from emotions. the psychadelics can bring this out rather forcefully.
when a kid, I used to look at the way the light bends and I looked at the after image the sun caused on my eye, haha. good times. HPPD isnt bad just the propoganda about it scared me. I try to think about it like Im a little kid again looking at those effects of my eyes.
its 4 am right now and i should get sleep. was just anxious about my HPPD so i decided to research about it. thanks for the reassurance that HPPD is not "bad".
