My personal favorite Windows based PC Maware removal programs
    #21775559 - 06/07/15 07:12 PM (8 years, 7 months ago)

My personal favorite malware removal software are as followed:

1 - Spybot Search and Destroy from https://www.safer-networking.org/
Spybot is fantastic at on-demand scanning for Spyware and Adware and the on-demand scanning feature is free for non-non-commercial usage.  There is a paid version but all it adds is Virus Detection to the scans as well as a real-time option.

2 - Malwarebytes from www.malwarebytes.org
Malwarebytes is amazing at doing what it does best, which is removing viruses with an on-demand scanning option.  As with Spybot, Malwarebytes also has a paid version but I don't recommend purchasing it as the on-demand scanner is free.

3 - Combofix from Bleeping Computer
*COMBOFIX IS A VERY POWERFUL PROGRAM WITH THE POTENTIAL TO HARM YOUR PC*
Alright let's talk about Combofix, It is extremely powerful at removing numerous Malware and especially useful at removing those pesky interent extensions that frustrate all of us.  I ONLY RECOMMEND THIS PROGRAM TO KNOWLEDGEABLE PC USERS.  FOR EXAMPLE HAPPY, HAPPY ENTER SYNDROME IS A SURE WAY TO HARM YOUR PC.  For your information Happy, Happy Enter Syndrome is what I call those idiots that don't check what they are checking during a download.  Combo fix can be difficult to use.

4 - Bitdefender or Kaspersky
I recommend purchasing Bitdefender or Kaspersky and equally recommend avoiding anything by Symantec or McAfee.  For your information, Symantec Owns and makes Norton.  Bitdefender and Kaspersky consistently outperform mout of the top leading virus removal programs in almost every test.  I recommend avoiding getting any of the All-In-One virus removals like Norton 365.  Those programs almost always slow your PC way down and all you need is Antivirus from Bitdefender or Kaspersky.  There are also free alternatives but I think you are better off purchasing Bitdefender since when on sale it is fairlying cheap.  Kaspersky is a little more expensive but an all-around excellent Antivirus program.

5 - Avira Antivirus Free
Avira Free has one of the best free Antivirus scanners on the market, plus they named their file scanner program "Luke Fikewalker" so gotta give credit for referencing Star Wars in their program.

6 - AdwCleaner from Bleeping Computer
ADWCleaner is my personal favorite program to remove Internet extensions and toolbars as well as many other pesky programs and in my experience it completes cleaning your system in a super short time compared to how long it takes to actually manually remove those pesky programs.
