I planted 6 of the seeds in my soil, covered the pot with a ziploc bag, and placed it about 8 inches under a flourescent lamp that goes 16 hours on and 8 hours off. The grow area is at a pretty stable 80 degrees when the lamp is on. I didn't use a heating pad. Do I need to change anything?

Please tell me you didn't use that miracle grow soil.
Other than that sounds good.
All you really need to grow them is coir and perlite.

So long as your soil is amended well and not straight soil they should do ok. Goodluck.

None have germinated yet, and there's a fungus growing on the surface of the soil. Looks like a cobweb mold, but could be P. cubensis. Can I kill it without damaging my seeds?

It's possible some spores could've landed in my substrate. I sanitized it, though.

Cubensis spores don't germinate in soil. They usually need a substrate with more nutrition than that. A white mold growing over the surface of potting soil is usually a harmless saprophytic fungus. Give the humidity chamber some occasional fresh air and it should eventually clear up.

Or use some straight hydrogen peroxide to get rid of it. 3%. Works like a charm.

I've actually had cubensis grow and fruit in straight perlite, so I don't think it's out of the question. I'll start airing it out. Thanks for the advice.

Did you germinate spores in the perlite or spawn mycelium to perlite? I would guess the latter. If you had spores germinate in straight perlite or soil I would need to have photographic proof before I believe you.

Sometimes they pop fast, sometimes they don't.
Ive got 120 seeds waiting to pop..none yet.
The 35 or so seeds before that popped in 2 weeks

I had some cakes in a FC held up a good 4 inches above the perlite by some wire screen. I went out of town for a few days and spores were dropped. Eventually mycelium grew in the perlite and even fruited, but they were some skimpy-ass mushrooms.

2 of the 6 have germinated, but that fungus is still going. I haven't used any peroxide because I don't wan't to damage the seedlings. When do I need to worry about feeding, and what should I use?

Fan the soil more if you don't want to use peroxide, although doing so will be fine. It's the high humidity that's causing the cobweb mould, drying the topsoil will kill it.
No need to fertilise just yet. I usually do that 3 or so months down the track and when you do you can use most common garden fertilisers at quarter strength. There is specific cactus fertilisers if you want ot source those but most fertiliser will work. Choose ones for trees and shrubs as they usually have ok ratios of NPK.

I often hear people say not to fertilize for the first year. It is good to know its safe as early as three months. I have some seedlings at one month now.

Lophophora and other Mexican desert cacti just do not like peat or coir - both are totally alien to them. They grow naturally in a gritty soil with loads of lime. My own mix for Mexican desert cacti is:
2 measures loam 1 measure wormcasts 5 measures coarse sand/grit 2 measures limestone
My plants do well in this mix.
