Interestingly, I've made trades on here, but I've never used any prints I've gotten. All my grows originated from fsre back in '02 and I've done a good job at labeling them.

Well, it doesn't matter if you got your prints from fsre (those who donated prints to fsre got them from someone else, right?).
The point is: there is no way to verify that you are getting what they say they are giving you.

its like u are looking for something to question..
if u keep any lineage no matter what name, and the lineage is producing the same looking mushrooms from one generation to the next and so on then u argument is invalid because this thread isn't about names, its about the genetic differences presence in a substrain which then passed onto the next generation

Agreed. I only mentioned that because it was 13 years ago and there weren't as many turds growing mushrooms back then. So my chances of getting what i was told it was were higher

I think you are the one who is trying to question simple facts :confused2:

Then you agree with me that those 50+ cube varieties I listed above do not exist?
I am really stupid then, because I was under the impression that I was the only one saying that so far.

Go to wilds and know their parents if possible.  This opens the door to whatever OTHER tricks nature might have in store for us, as well as being fun.

I haven't messed too much with the purple mystics but they are the first and only cubes that managed to fruit outdoors for me. I have a first gen clone slanted for later experiments.

Purple mystics aren't as domesticated as most of the other strains?

Are there any others that are closer to wild?

I tend to return to vigor, 'cause that seems the foundation for everything else we like about shrooms.

PMs have it in spades, but to me the surprise was they just took to domestic cult like they were born to it.  :wellholyshit:

Grainbrain was stabilizing a rust spore line from it. Was impressive how many oddball things came from those, rust spores, sporeless clones.

I've got a wild Florida cube print. I'm not gonna work with it anytime soon. You can have it, and if you fruit it just shoot me a print back.

Other people have taken it through more generations, but I didn't find that necessary, and I ended up with the wild phenotype easily in captivity. The trips were A-grade.  And as mentioned there are rust spore and albino "substrains", very cool stuff.

I suppose it kind of depends on what you mean by "domesticated", much like what you mean by "strain."  I gave away a shitload of 2nd gen prints.

lets say PE is the "kind" bud of mushrooms and everything else is reggie/mids.  PE melts my face off compared to the same dose of non PE
