The Cavs were counting on a strong championship run to convince Kevin Love to accept his somewhat diminished role to keep playing for a winner, so this might effect his decision. Cleveland is increasingly looking like a several year project.
Bullshit they were this years favorite if everyone stays healthy. They are going to be next years favorite too.

Ask the Clippers how losing games you should have won works out. They had game 1, which was absolutely critical for their final plans as well. If lebron wins a ring on his own averaging 40-50 a nigh he is no doubt the GOAT.

It seems like almost every player worth knowing got injured this year.
Steph Westbrook Harden LBJ were the only healthy megastars.

Yea man, it was a bad season in the NBA for injuries. I'm trying to think of anyone else that should be on that list, but nothing...
What do you think defines a superstar or megastar in NBA by today's standards? This is a question for everyone posting here including Elax.
I'm curious because I was gonna say, well, Wade was pretty healthy for the year and had a good season (stat-wise). Would you guys consider him a superstar still, though? It's crazy to say he isn't because he has been since 2006 but now that the championship party has floated out of here, it's very hard to say he is. His play ability hasn't diminished in the past 2-3 years, so did company (meaning LBJ), thrust him into superstardom even though he hasn't been one in years? \\
Sorry for rambling on;
What defines a current NBA superstar?
When do players drop from superstars to just players?
And why do some players remain household names for over a decade when they were only superstars for a couple, while other players no one remembers after retirement even though they were superstars for a long stretch of time?

I was watching a 30for30 last night about the Pistons BTB championships and how they were so incredibly physical. They had a white guy on their team who just kept taking all the falls and charges. I kept watching iguadalo (sp?) get ass bumped and tossed around by LBJ and wondered why he didn't occasionally take a flop/charge.
I just don't get this NBA concept. I am not an NBA die hard. I still don't even watch many regular season games unless it is a good matchup, but I have diligently watched the playoffs for the last 4 years.... but back to my point... Either 1) Lebron gets away with stiff arming/shoving/tossing opponents, or 2) he has figured out a grift in the system.
I believe #1 is the real reason, because if #2 was the reason, then everyone would be doing it. Sure I see Nowitzki's ass bump turn around fade with the knee up, but I don't see anyone else man handle other players the way Lebron does, and the few times I do, it gets called...
Also, when did they stop calling moving picks? is that a new thing this year because... wow.

Nah, not anymore.
He’s easily in my top 10 favorite players list, and easily my favorite 2 guard. His style when he is on point is just fucking beautiful. Shit I wish I could ball half as hard as hurt Wade.
Wade throwing down a reverse dunk where his head nearly hits the rim has been burnt into my brain. And those eurosteps I love D-Wade. He was the only player i liked on that Heat team, and the only reason lebron has 2 rings. No way lebron hits the peak he’s at now without a Wade’s leadership and experience.

That's a great point man. It's weird to think of Wade as such an older dude than LBJ. They were drafted in the same year just a few picks apart.
To be fair, LBJ was 18, and Wade 21 when drafted, but he always seemed like a mentor/older brother figure to Lebron when playing for the Heat. LBJ seems to be peaking, but who knows? He might get better, or more refined might be a better word over the next 2-3 seasons which would just be insane. What if he starts being able to knock down 40%+ from 3 point range later in his career?

1. Lebron is getting away with it, as he should. Basketball barely has any nuts left they got to hold on to the physicality that is still there. If you are getting bullied adapt, the strategy ended up working though. Force a shooter to take enough bad shots and he’s bound to miss, even if it is LBJ.
Did you see that fucking 180-jump-step back shit he tried on the baseline in the first half? If a dude can make that shot just give him the damn ring. That was the craziest thing I’ve seen in a minute and it barely even missed, he would make it 35-40% of the time but thats losing basketball. Let Lebron do whatever the fuck he wants as long as you make sure there is no 2nd or 3rd options you will likely win.
2. Thats GS’s counter to Lebrons charges. In basketball especially refs give make up calls. Moving picks are just fucking gay especially when you have a bigman who turns down a gimme alley oops slam to throw it out to an open 3 shooter, who bricks it. That was singlehandedly the gayest play I’ve ever seen in Basketball. I hate the way teams like Houston and GS play.

One more word on D-Wade:
Miami better pay the man. Even if it turns into the next Kobe Bryant lifetime achievement award, the guy has earned it. Dude put South Florida back on the map, and IS the Heat. Heat fans should love him at least as much as Jazz fans love Karl Malone.

Without a doubt. I can't believe he makes considerably less than Bosh and Dragic. He took the pay cut so that LBJ and Bosh could get good money as well when they first got together, but the Heat damn better give him the 24 mil he's asking now. It's probably going to be his last contract where he gets good money. After this it's gonna be like 5 mil - 1 year contracts for him until he retires.
And he wants to retire here. After helping the organization win 3 rings it's the least they can do. I wonder if any teams out there would consider offering him a 30mil a year contract to steal him away. If that happened I wouldn't blame him for leaving, but sure as hell would be sad.

Shit, man. I have no idea. What teams do you think most need a good SG and have some room in their salary cap?

Honestly I think LBJ owes him a hookup. LBJ is going to be a Billionaire by the time he’s 50 anyway. I would hope the Jazz would be down Alec Burks gets compared to a young Dwayne Wade so that would be tight to get him a mentor, but that wont happen.

LA. Nick Young isn’t very good at all, and he’s not exactly a spring chicken either. Plus Wade could run the point so its killing 2 birds with one stone. Kobe is done but who the hell wouldn’t want to see Kobe and Wade on the same side? The geriatric jokes would never end and it would be hard to keep them on the court but when they are on it would be must see TV. Two Iconic HOF’ers balling out on the Lakers.... I hate the lakers and that would be dope. It would be such a dirty move by Miami to throw away Wade though. He literally made that team.
The good speculation is that Melo should join up with some superstar (LA) if he ever wants a ring. I personally don’t think NYK isn’t going to recover to be a legit contender during whats left of his career.

It wouldn't surprise me to see Wade, Kobe, and Melo being brought together to finish off their careers. I would certainly love it if they made that happen down here but I don't think it's financially possible for Miami to do so.
I don't think it would be a Championship team, but they sure as fuck would be fun to watch.

God Melo and Kobe that would be almost painful. LA has a pretty good at being a turnaround playoff team next year. Especially if the Wolves fuck up and take Towns. Jahlil Okafor is going to be what everyone thinks Anthony Davis is IMO.
Paul George is a 3 right? If Wade really wanted to fuck with Miami he could go make Indiana a championship caliber team again. Milwaukee would be an option too, probably dont have the cash though (isn’t he from there)

Wade's a Chi Town boy. That's why the only other team he's ever expressed any interest in playing for is the Bulls.
Him and D.Rose together would be a really fun combo to watch as well but again, so many injuries between em both.

Yeah I'd take Okafor over Towns too... I don't think Okafor is gonna be anywhere near as good as AD because he's not anywhere near as athletic IMO :shrug;
D wade is from Chicago I think but he went to college at Marquette in Wisconsin.
