Some spots in yard that have groundcloth in garden. I was wondering if there might be more risk of contam being its not in direct contact with the earth

I'm sure it'd work just fine. I mean, you can grow shrooms in a tub of plastic, so having a cloth underneath it wouldn't effect it much.

If it's just some cloth to keep out plants or something, I think the mycelium might even just grow through it. But I'm just guessing.

If you're talking about the weed blocker fabric then yes it'll work. There's no need for it though.

Yea. Its just that its in a spot whwre its already laid down and needs to stay there. Wasnt sure if it being outside and not laying on actual dort if it would be more prone to contams due to the microbes from the soil not maybe making it up into the substrate
