Why is it like that? Because we misinterpret quantum theory?

IMO misinterpretation often comes into play in the form of authority that given to quantum physics by those that have gaps in their understanding of quantum physics.  People like Deepak Chopra like to insinuate that quantum physics is some sort of evidence for their theism.

At worst, science-y sounding terms just sound cool to most people. While anyone with even a rudimentary understanding of quantum physics knows it's non-sense.

At best, some aspects of quantum physics could be used to underscore that there is a limit to scientific understanding, as demonstrated by science.

I am studying quantum physics as part of a physics course for non-engineers at my university.  Now that I have a basic understanding of it, I can see through the liars who try to invoke the authority of quantum mechanics while simultaneously slapping all of science in the face.

I think science is doing the best job of anyone looking for knowledge and understanding.  I don't know if it will ever completely explain the universe.

My own philosophies have been affected by quantum physics in an abstract way.  Just being more conscious of how the micro world works, the limitations of my senses to comprehend the true nature of reality.  It's something that I keep in the back of my mind and it changed the way I see the world.  I can't really say exactly how it's affected my philosophies.  It's too indirect of an influence.
