Hi all again - as per one members suggestions I'm posting this again this time in the culinary section of the forum.

I have yet to ID this 'mold' (possibly) present on some baby portobello's i had at room temp lying around for around 2-3 weeks:

Smell : slightly meaty like unseasoned 'home' made beef jerky, maybe proteiny-fishy, slightly musky (but not sure if thats the mushroom?)

Sincerely,

Mushroom Head

I cant really ID that for you but if they were laying around for that long I suspect it is mold and there is probably some bacteria present as well.
