Identification needed
    #21773055 - 06/07/15 07:25 AM (8 years, 7 months ago)

Habitat:
growing directly from soil,in 5-10 numbered patches, between bushes. doesn't seem to be mycorrhizal, though around bushes and trees. and only on parts of soil which were very wet (compared to adjacent zones.)

Gills:
don't seem to have any, or at least at that period of their life cycle.

Stem:
definitely don't have stems.

Cap:
their whole bodies were caps , 3-6 cm in diameter, white with a pale gradient purple taint on parts closer to soil.
the caps had a peel that would easily be ripped by nails, or even by a gentle pinch.
under that peel, there was a very gelatinous and slimy transparent layer.

Spore print color:
don't know how to take spore prints from this kinda fungus  (maybe dark brown, explained on second pic)

Bruising:
after cutting the cap in half, the color of the transparent slimy layer turned a little darker, like creamy or yellowish.

Other information:
they seemed to be connected in soil just a few inches below the soil surface. cuz when I pulled out one of them, it was like picking a fruit from it's branch (you know what i'm saying ? don't know how to describe it, it felt like i'm disconnecting it from a root or something).
they smelled pretty farinaceous.

one patch of them : (i pulled one on the left side)

a small one cut in half : (I guess those dark brown layer, under the slimy layer, is spores)

ya, then you can impress your friends telling them "i just ate some pickled (or fried) Phallus"  and gauge their reactions for fun.

see, this is the kind of help i'm best at.  i leave the real ID stuff to the experts.  I'm a student driver.

Now that I look on my phone I definitely see it. Perhaps it's time to invest in a new monitor.
We've been through so much though :frown:
