Yeah, that's like Unreal 2004 on win 98, but it is still very fun, and i was hoping some fellows players were on here. I'm just starting out, i think level 5 or 6 now, so i'm just now getting ready to take on the true first missions.
Come on guys/gals, let's conquer the galaxy, or something.

I had destiny it was fun for a month or so. Then i hit level 20. So i have to get some special armor to level up from there. Ooook, so i grind for a while with friends which is still fun. I get to level twenty-five, and cant seem to get any better armor for my life. Next thing you know I'm asking people where the better armor is. "Oh you have to play the raids or dlc to get any good armor". Well tough shit cause you can't do any raids at level 25, but you can't level up without doing that, o wait yeah you can, the dlc duh stupid me.
Next thing i know literally every question i have about.the game gets the exact same fucking response. "You have to get the dlc". Fuck that, i wouldnt have as much of a problem with it if it werent for the fact that everybody i know who had the first dlc just bitched about it sucking. Idk i really hope that isn't the future of gaming, all of your games problems are solved by grinding away through the store with microtransactions. Not to mention only 2 packs per season pass? WTF?
Destiny was a fun game and great concept, but it relied to heavily on dlc, so fuck that.

that sucks. i played FFXI for about 3 years after it was realeased, and the quests to break level caps, and to get "artifact armor", which is basically what your talking about, was really, really difficult unless you had a bunch of high-level friends helping you out. it was impossible to get a pick-up-group to give you a coffer key when it dropped, and even harder to find the coffer, because it can appear around lv50 mobs, or lv75+ mobs, or at the middle or end of a dungeon, depending on how much the game hated you. and oh god... did it hate you.
it took me 2.5 years to get my Samurai from lv 1-75 in FFXI. half of that was just farming gear, and doing the insane level-cap quests every 5 levels after 50
was a fun game though

leveling up in general is a stupid mechanic, give the player an abilities tree progress thorough out the story and leave it at that no game is fun enough to grind through for the sole purpose of grinding!!!

Grinding can be fun if they pull it off right. Metal gear solid peace walker, (and im sure phantom pain) kind of have it. Play the same mission through, capturing soldiers till you find one with the stats you need to upgrade your base. Or warframe does a pretty good job of it. Hell even grinding in destiny wasn't so bad, but its the fact of how badly the games value revolves around whether or not you have money to spend on your account, that pisses me off.

grinding is pretty tame anymore. i played warframe and i could level a whole weapon or warframe suit to 30 in just a few days
grinding was 100x more insane in the origional everquest, FFXI, and WoW eras. now, you can get to the cap level in just about any MMO within a few months.
i capped in FFXIV in 3. that is almost 10 times faster than FFXI. and 3 times faster than vanilla WoW
still though, the lack of grinding in modern games is kind of nice. back then, it felt fun and worthwhile taking an entire 4 days to level up ONE time. now it just feels retarded

So hey, does anybody play this on ps3? I'm on it right now trying to get to the higher levels, but it feels like a better version of borderlands, and without any kind of multiplayer action it's saggin bad.
Come on people, i know you want to clear out weird dungeons with ectoplasmic-incendiary, or what ever they go going at the higher levels. Lets play.

The ectoplasnic incendiary and all those other fun things you mentioned are only in the dlc.

Loved Borderlands, because it looked cartoony and crazy. Never liked Destiny's look or the Halo'ish futuristic shooter vibe.

I stopped playing because it was always the six same missions over and over after you beat it or four other raid missions over and over and it was pretty dependent on having a friend to play with
not only that but to gain experience you had to do like 50 objectives per level(3) and they weren't easy either so I was like fuck this shit and sold it
I could see like 10 then 20 then 30 but doing that is just ridiculous, you're doing the same shit over and over lol
