How to judge grain jars - (picture includet)

I am a little confused about this:

The 2 jars had similar appearance 5 minutes ago ( they were both like the right one) Both jars were shaken right after inoculation with LC, and then again when they were at 15 % colonization ( after my best judgment).
The plan was to shake again at 60% but the mycelium began to stik out in the air at the top of the jar so I became afraid the the jars were starting to pin, so I shaked at wath looked to be 40%( jar on the right) But after the shake it only looked like 5 or 10 % colonized ( jar on the left)
I do not want to spawn unfinished jars so; How do we judge the colonization state of the jars, Pre-shaked or post shaked?
Also how dos the mycelium look? I am a little nervous becomes I have used LC, but I do not think that I can se any contamination, can you?

I shake once at 30% thats it
The one on the right has a few spots in the bottom half that are concerning
Dont worry about the fluffy clouds on top, they wont pin without fresh air
You have a week or two before they are ready, they will be white everywhere when they are 100%
The one on right is about 5% now

First off stop shaking your jars so much. Shake at inoculation unless you inoculate with spores. Then shake once at around 20-30%. After that the only other time you should shake is when you are ready to use your jars. When inoculating with LC the shake at 20-30% shouldn't even be necessary. The growth should already be spread out.
Any way. When you shake a jar the mycelium retracts and your grain will appear un-colonised until the mycelium has time to recover. It should show signs of recovery within 24 hours. If it doesn't, it is likely contaminated and should be thrown out. Judge the percentage of colonisation before the shake.

that jar is way more than 5%. That's how whole oats look when they are colonised. All the reddish colored grains in the shaken jar are colonised. So it has a good amount of growth as well.

No worries. Oats husks can make them look less colonised than they actually are.
