Hello! Could you recommend career paths to me based on the following?

Hi...I am currently working in the kitchen/back of the house at a fast-food restaurant. I find that I am enjoying my work tremendously. I like to work with my hands, and this job offers a lot of that. From putting frozen burger patties on the grill, to assembling burgers, and stuff like that. I am also required to monitor the quantities of things like fries, sweet potato fries, onion rings, and hash-brown, and drop more in the fryer as needed. I like how I am almost always kept incredibly busy, and time just flies by really fast. I also like the fact I don't have to deal with the public. I have been at this job for over half a year, and I am experienced in almost all aspects of it and I think I am quite good at it.
So, based the foregoing, could you recommend suitable career paths to me? I thought about becoming a cook, cause it's very similar. I also thought about manufacturing types of jobs. I am throwing this out there to see if there are other ideas. I want a job that commands a reasonable degree of respectable-ness and hopefully a bit more pay.
Thanks.

They have open positions that don't require any specific skills aside from your physical ability. If you prove yourself they'll move you up the ladder and train you.
I work in networking and I've had to run cable when I first started. Now I do technical support on switches/routers for networks.

Work on a vegetable farm. Is manufacturing and lots of machinery plus a farmer will stand right next to you working, that feels so much better then a loserboss that does nothing.

Nobody in construction starts with skills. And that is what I was going to recommend. It will also keep you in shape without having to go to a gym.

^This
Few months back I didn't know much either.
Now I just finished building 150m² with wooden beams for ceilling then placed gyproc as walls, put putty(?) against walls, abraded all the walls and ceilling and painted it. Dropped concrete to make smooth floor -> this was first time btw. IT WAS 20€/SAC AND WE BOUGHT A WHOLE PALLET.
But the great thing about it was that it was "self-smoothing" so basically it was just mix, drop on floor, spreads out by itself. Done
Construction not so bad, I always thought I could never pull it off with my slender bodytype but that work pays off. In money, in value of life and being proud of something you created.
I got 15€/hour
It was for a good and dear friend though
You can easily get 50-180 rates in construction. Hourly basis.
Or you could do it like... per placed tile, per square meter, per meter painted
Ugh, I should get into construction
PS: ICT remains a great option If you want to use your hands, look into PLC
Or if you want machinery in construction could always go with wood, metal, stone and CNC
If you're skilled with a CNC you are viable anywhere where there are computers.

Become a line cook.
Or take notice to how general restaurant / fast food operates and you'll be able to snag a supervision position if you play your cards right. After you get some supervision experience, your options open up in other fields.
I worked in the food industry for a few years and I hated working in fast food. Fuck McDonalds. We used to do cocaine in the bathroom and pop ecstasy so some days definitely had their ups. I finally got fired when there was a surprise corporate inspection and was caught smoking pot in the walkin with two other employees. Oh well.
But one of my funnest jobs was working in pizza. It's still fast food but completely different approach to the industry. It was shitty work but at least you got tips and usually privately franchised so upper management was always looking to promote within.
How I do not miss dealing with shit.

Oh I also just want to say getting paid to drive a bobcat around for a few days is awesome.
What's not so awesome is the trench foot I got this week. Working in the cold clay and rain this week sucked. One dude got the bobcat stuck. Not only that but some old guy drove through a brick wall on Thursday at another location I do work for. . so looks like more ot .which is fine with me got to keep my beer gut fed if I'm working this much.
Only be a line cook if you can't get another job pay is shit no benefit nights and weekends working all the time. The drug scene is great but that'd about it.

Yeah it's that fact I didn't become a line cook. Too much drugs... Would destroy myself
Plus my love of food =/ making the same dishes in a small room at a constant rate
Nice man, I should get a license >_>

Commercial Driver's License. Class A or Class B.
Driving is hands on. But training can cost 1 grand. Payment plans are available.
Some class A work can supposedly earn someone into 70 grand a year. U get to pick bed trucking, refrig trucking, or that other you usually see on road.
U like working in food, then go for a refrig trucking position.

sounds like u really love to cook.
i'd keep this hobby going, cook as many foods as u can find, no matter what other job u may have, invest in this cooking, even if u dont make a career out of it atleast u'll be damn sure u know how to cook a meal, and women love this shit, so u might even get a hot wife out of it.
my advice to u would be to follow ur heart, do what u really enjoy doing, as long as u're not hurting people or even urself and all that jazz

I have never worked as a professional cook but I have cooked all my life and am very good at it. There is a similarity between cooking and construction. We are both making something with our hands using tools.

Construction can be labor intensive tho compared to cooking. Cooking has its perks but it's definitely a lot easier on the spinal cord.

yea, that's what I heard, too. Seems to me the vast majority of people working in construction are men. I don't think women possess the kind of strength to carry out the tasks.
there isn't a section on craigslist for construction work anyway, which is the website I mainly use for job search purposes.
