My own jars for the first time

Previously, I ordered premade brown rice jars. This will be my first time making my own. I am following the site's posted videos so th PF tek, but using a PC.
My question is how much success do you have using masking tape? The video says you can use microspore tape or masking tape? I couldn't find microspore tape at Walgreens. I even asked the pharmacist. I bought some medical tape. Is that the same thing?
What do you all use to seal up the injection points? I finally am getting better at innoculating, but have always used jars made by who I assume are pros. I am hoping to avoid a high contamination rate my first time around creating my own.
Thanks!

You can't block airflow completely, you need Gas Exchange (GE). There is no replacement for micropore tape. Did you follow PF tek and use a vermiculite layer at the top? You don't need any tape if you did.

I haven't made them yet. I wanted to get feedback before I forged ahead.

I found 3M Nexcare "flexible clear tape" which "Stretches & Breathes". Its hospital name is 3M Transpore Surgical Tape.
Don't bother asking for microspore tape.

It's "micro-pore" tho not "micro-spore". Can also be known as "gentle paper tape".

Use the masking tape for the PC cycle only. Use two layers.
Inject through the tape. Don't touch it after. The dry verm barrier is all the protection you need.
