How low temps would kill my myc?

I made an extra monotub I was planning on putting outside in a greenhouse. But summer weather is crappy, and temperature outside sucks! In daytime I can manage getting the greenhouse temps from70-80f. But at night it will drop to 45-55, but not for long since the nights in the summer here a very short, 2-3 hours top. But will those few hours in those temps be enough to kill my myc?
Dont care if its slow and so on. Its either put in the greenhouse or in the trash, since I don't have the space inside my house... And I would also rather use the space in greenhouse for something that would guaranteed grow... Like plants...

Below 32f kills cubes but they may tolerate 32 for quite a while

My monobuckets hit lows of 50 nightly and do just fine. They may do better with more stable temps but I'm not going to heat a 40'x15' empty shed for a few mushrooms

Those temps will slow growth but not stall it. You will likely end up with thicker meatier fruits in the end as a result of the low temps.

I've been getting super thick and dense fruits but they have been shorter than I'm used to from b+

Thanks! I'm going to try it outside then, the temps outside can't get worse so I guess I'm safe(ish)... Slow but dense fruits sound good enough for me

I got fruits when it was low 40's at night. I got a pretty low yield, but my spawn was contaminated (bad syringe) with trich, and the genetics were not good. I also did not baby them.
So I don't know how much the temps accounted for that, but in any case I bet you will get fruits.

Have you thought about cutting off the bottom of a cheap dome tent, and using said tent for a humidity chamber? The flaws when you cut out the bottom would act as a intake of air. Out-take would flow naturally, and retain proper temp and RH. Sun position would be of utmost significance. Avoid late afternoon sun.
I'd bet 8 x 1 pint BRF cakes, cut into fours (32 pieces) and "semi-cased" with some nutritious sort of substrate (80% straw + delta hpoo) would yield outrageous results. How I wish I had a backyard where I could be me and let me do something that would harm no one, except for myself, and I would die before I would be able to ask anyone for help.

You sound confused.....Straw and manure is bulk substrate material, not casing layer material. We do not call bulk subs casings....We do not call spawning to bulk "Semi-cased"

hmm?? Lol....
I'm not concerned yield vise. I just don't wanna kill the myc, and let the tub use up space waiting for something that's not happening.
But seems temps are good to go, and every fruits I can get from it, is pure bonus for me.

My myc is healthy and strong, so I bet it will perform better then yours even in those low temps.
I have no problems maintaining RH,FAE and light, so no need to complicate things...

Left in a pitch black shed subjected to temperatures between just over freezing.. almost every morning had frost and up to 60ish. This was trichy as well. Forgotten for a few days. You'll be fine bro.

I've kept colonized grain jars AND colonized agar dishes in the refrigerator for 2 weeks and still had them perform no problem.

It's supposed to be 94F outside, so it's probably 105F indoors because there's no A/C - Am I in danger? Should I move my jars under the sink until it cools off and then run my lights at night instead?

yeah, that made me more secure of putting it in the greenhouse. I moved it outside yesterday, and today there is hundreds of hyphal knots already...surprising!

aha, nice. So if I were to make to many jars, could I let them sit for a week or two in fridge for later use? That would be absolute perfect for me. O

Cultures (stored as slants in cold temps) have been grown out 27 years later to fruit according to the mushroom cultivator.

Make a ghetto swamp cooler by covering the jars in a soaked towel that you have wrung out well and put in a area that gets a little air current. As the towel evaporates the water the area under it will cool.
