What I didn't like was sucking down cancerous tar every day just to ward off the nasty withdrawal symptoms of not smoking

I assure you I could easily quit vaping but I won't.. because I enjoy it

And there's no need to be a dick man you're the one who came in here talking shit about our hobby like "Oh cold turkey is superior because vaping is still feeding the addiction" to me that just makes you seem like you're puffing your chest

whoa whoa whoa man. i was not trying to be a dick to you. where did that come from?

ps. its not in this thread, but in others i've said i think vapings the way to go if you dont want to quit nicotine... my tune may be different in this thread earlier as this one might be older.

and i'm not puffing my chest at all... if you want to quit a drug, doing more of it isn't going to help you.

Well what you said to Kroniko was pretty rude

And quitting nicotine was never my intention, quitting tobacco was and I have done that easily with the help of vaping

And FYI my daily nicotine consumption is roughly equivalent to about 2-3 cigarettes, so I am not "doing more" of the drug, it is simply a far healthier and more effective delivery method

Didn't even realize this thread was still alive, just read through all the comments, and wanted to chime in to thank everyone for all the info and recommendations given.

I'm going to start vaping really soon, I'd rather just quit but considering I've been trying and can't, I'd rather keep trying while doing a healthier alternative instead of continuing to destroy my lungs and body and feeling all these constant negatives that come with it and that seems like the best way.

Lol. There is no personal vendetta whatsoever on my end. There's only you being a giant dick on your end because you apparently like to hold grudges about shit that doesn't affect you directly in any way. Whatever "ridiculous posts" you're talking about is just you being an even bigger dick because they most certainly don't exist.

Way to go derailing this thread! I've admitted to and sincerely apologized for my behavior to you but you continue with the butthurt of exponential proportions. I've been nothing but nice to you, and yet you continue to act like child.

Just so it's out in the open (again) what happened is I went through roughly 1 1/2 years of being a self destructive alcoholic that mixed xanax when I drank. That led to me pathologically lying about a plethora of things about my life including having been in the military at one point which is obviously fucked up. I believe I did this in order to compensate for the fact that my life was absolutely horrible during that time and I just wanted to be accepted. Therefore I made up silly shit while really fucked up that I thought would make me feel a part of a community (community being psychonauts chat room). I've since quit drinking, with a few slip ups, apologized profusely to everyone I said these things to. If they don't accept it, that's their right but I never physically or mentally hurt anyone besides myself.

So, getting back to what I posted, I would've used the same exact words and phrasing towards anyone here on the Shroomery if they were to recommend an ecig that is complete garbage. Making it obvious that you have close to zero knowledge on this subject.

Let's say the user were to have taken your suggestion for the Cloupor. He would've gotten a mod that would've broken on him within a couple months or worse yet, autofired to the point of causing damage to himself or his property.
So if you don't know much about a topic, don't fucking try to "help" someone when you're actually causing them harm.

Sorry for this really long post, guys but I think it's important for people to see how 404 acts towards people IRL. Just a malicious person that gets some weird satisfaction out of being really mean and obsessive. :woot:

Dude get a Kanger Subox and a Subtank Mini

http://www.kangeronline.com/products/kanger-subox-mini-black-starter-kit

This is hands down the best device for someone who wants to switch from vaping to smoking, and at $80 it's quite a good deal

That may seem like a lot but it'll pay itself off quick once you stop smoking cigs

You'd also wanna order a pack of OCC coil heads for it and also some pre-built coils + cotton pads for the rebuildable section, all of which can be bought on the Kanger website

As for juice I'd say get Seduce Juice, their juice is fucking dope for the money but if you're on a budget I hear good things about Mech Sauce and it's a lot cheaper

But yeah man get this shit and I assure you will not regret it

Except you can save yourself $30 by getting it here for $50:
https://www.misthub.com/product/kanger-subox-mini-starter-kit/
(use coupon code reddit15)

I just backtracked on this thread and realized OP's intentions were to buy a Subox in the first place.
He's on the right track to getting a very high quality product both with form and function.

I think you should dude. I still use a very similar setup for convenience while driving and while at work (not the vape shop job)

Just about every B&M I've walked into in the past couple weeks, at least one employee has been using the subox and saying that they absolutely love it, even if they didn't have any available for sale.

That says a lot to me. Also the fact that it just looks really classy and is super portable & compact compared to the Sig150.

The only reason I haven't picked one up myself is because my iStick50 still fires (just the screen is dead). So that mod with my Subtank Mini using the RBA from the new subtanks is roughly the same size and exact same specs as the Subox. Just doesn't look as good.

you are so full of shit. i've been pretty nice to you, and even offered you a seat up to chicago (ended up not going though, but you flaked before hand), and you once again flaked on all acounts even when you came to disney (not that the last part matters really). i was pretty set on leaving it all in the past, but lately i've been seeing some questionable things once again. you were rude here to begin with anyway, imo warranting my response to you.

but yeah... man, when i came down there was not really one point of sobriety in you at all... you were making drink after drink,  you even drove me in your mazda under the influence of a few drinks... and then you have the audacity to say online about how people that choose to drive under the influence of achohol should have their licenses revoked, recently in one of bassfreaks threads i believe...

you're a liar and a thief mate, people don't just suddenly become pathological liars just from heavy benzo use... you're misusing the term 'pathological' here. it'd be one thing if the lies you made up were to get more drugs or something like that, but they weren't. i gave you so many chances man and after all the things you've said and done i just can't find it in myself to trust you, but i definitely tried.

i tell people you're a cool person to hang out with, but i don't trust anything you say. is that childish? no, i think that's pretty logical considering that's the truth.

saying i'm just a malicious person is a cop out and you're just being a dick yourself there as well. i'm so glad i made the right decision not to trust you. you haven't changed at all, and you still make up shit.

I'll let you have the last word as I've noticed it's necessary for you to do so in order to fulfill your horrible personality.

So post whatever you gotta post in reply to this to make yourself feel better so I can get back to helping OP pick a vape to stop smoking cigarettes.

Oh man, it sucks that  we share common interests, or we would not be on this website all the time, but bicker over little shit constantly, I have been guilty of it myself a few times I am ashamed to say, and this is not aimed at no one in particular AT ALL.

I just hate to see us bickering amonst each other, but when this many people come together, I guess it is bound to happen, oh well, back to the subject at hand.

I am looking at the mini subox, but my brother has one, an e cig, that I can get here locally, that I do beleive cost him 50 bucks for everything, with the 2400 lithium Ion rechargable batteries, I am not sure to be honest all the specifics, but he has 3 different kinds, and absoutely loves this one, from what I can tell it looks like the silver mini subox, but without the need to buy batteries, and the batteries are permenant, I am almost positive, you may be able to replace them, but he says all he has to day is recharge it, and it will last him a day and a half,.

I will see him shortly and get the info and post it, and hopefully some of you guys will have pros and cons on it, and help me decide what to get, I really appreciate you guys helping me out!

OK, his is a carbon Mod works I30 that comes with everything needed but the juice and tank, with an adjustable range of 07 -30 watts,  with charging cable and 1 2200 hundred Mah batterie , at the cost of 50 bucks(thats including the tank, with no delivery charge, cause this vape shop is close to r house, so, what do you guys think the pros and cons are VS getting the mini subox, besides the obvious no waiting to get it, and no delivery charge?

If anyone has the time to look it up and tell me what you think, please do, as I am sure he forgot to tell me some of the features

Hey, ImperfecctIam.
What happened between 404 and I was just some silly bickering that happens once because we know each other IRL.

As soon as we stopped posting on this thread we hashed things out over the phone. So everything is all good.

We both just kinda woke up on the wrong side of he bed lol.

So back to the vapes;

I advise strongly against spending $50 on this setup.

Since it only has 30 watts of power you won't really be able to run RDA's (drippers) adequetly when the time comes (if you decide to get into dripping).

Most importantly, you can't run the best tanks on the market right now since they are meant to be fired at 40 + watts.

The Subox offers you 50 watts which is the sweet spot for all the best functioning/popular tanks.

There is no prons and cons of each one that I can list for you.
The Subox's  included tank is the Subtank Mini which is by far my favorite tank currently out & what I use personally most of the time.
It has that 50w capability, and is the same exact price as what's being offered to you right now in the I-30 which is outdated technology that has never been known in the vaping community as a quality built product.

The only extra thing you'll have to buy is one 18650 battery to power it that costs $5 here: http://www.illumn.com/batteries-chargers-and-powerpax-carriers/batteries.html?___store=default&battery_size=292&dir=asc&order=bestsellers the one(s) you should get are the Samsung 25r's.

I suggest getting 2 batteries so you always have a backup handy, as well as a separate battery charger but those are unnecessary things that just make vaping more convenient.

As far as ejuice, that is very expensive if bought from local vape shops.  www.mechsauce.com is the absolte BEST budget juice vendor and has some truly amazing flavors. For $35 I can order a months supply whereas if I bought it only form brick and mortar vape shops it would cost me $22 for every 3-4 days. If you want, let me know and I'll send you a list of what flavors to avoid and which ones are really great.

Hope I could help a little bit. Please, feel free to ask me any questions about vaping that may be on your mind. This is what I love talking about constantly due to it pretty much having saved my life.
