I know this thread is more then a month old, but now that I have the cash, I'm gonna try to make the switch to E-cigs, I am a 3 pack a day smoker, so if anyone has a good link to any new r just are a really  good e-cig , for a decent price, I'm looking at under a hundred bucks, with all the greatest bells and whistles, I would appreciate a link!

Thanks guys, I'm really wanting to do this bad, but it def. has to be sturdy, with a big fluid tank(and hopefully not huge, there seems to be some that look to be about the size of a cigar that look great, but IDK, I just really don't want a huge box in my pocket like most decent ones, but if they r the best, so be it), and long batterie life, thanks again!

your not addicted to smoking, you are addicted to addiction.  just find something else to replace your time with.  I started smoking again for about a month or 2, and when i went to quite again, i didn't even have to try, i just stopped and i had no cravings at all.  Im not sure exactly why, i think maybe part of my brain died at some point, so that might be an option

That's awesome you decided to make the switch! I'm going on 5 months now cigarette free due to vaping and it's made my life so much better after 12 years of smoking 1+ packs a day.

As for your question, I recommend the Subox starter kit by a company named Kangertech. You can pick them up online for around $50 and they can please both newbies and veteran vapers alike due to the amount of power, build quality, and ease of use. I also have a few more suggestions that I can go into detail about but I've seen that in the pub there's very few people that actually know anything about vaping in detail and I want you to stay away from recommendations from people that have no idea what they're talking about. So I highly suggest you post your OP in the dedicated vaping subforum here: (or feel free to shoot me a :pm:)

http://www.shroomery.org/forums/postlist.php/Board/236

We have some extremely knowledgeable people on that sub that have dedicated a huge chunk of their lives to vaping, including myself. I've been spending just about every free second over the last 6 months either researching different mods and tanks/RDA's as well as working at a local vape shop. I just wanted to give you my credentials lol. I think it's very important to be informed correctly on this subject due to battery safety and how fast the industry moves.

:burke: This is what I was talking about people in the pub just suggesting mods with absolutely no knowledge just to hear themselves talk lol.

Why in the world would you first of all suggest something from fasttech, a vendor that takes over a month to ship you your products, 404? Not only that, but they aren't the cheapest vendor around for vapes (they have great vape accessories, though) and their selection doesn't offer what OP needs as someone completely new to vaping.

The Cloupor (any model) is known for its countless problems including autofiring until it melts which is extremely dangerous to the user. Please don't ever suggest a vape until you've done your homework since it's something extremely important to people trying to quit smoking.

:crankey:

Again, OP. Just post your thread here:
http://www.shroomery.org/forums/postlist.php/Board/236

So that you can receive reliable information. Cheers.

 I've noticed that the only people that bash vaping are people that have never had a true tobacco addiction in the past. It really gets me heated nowadays when people spew shit about vaping since it's become such an integral part of my life.

Before I started, I saw vaping as a worthless alternative as well due to only having tried the disposable cig-a-likes.

I'm so happy you, Shroomism, and even Shroomslip were able to inform me well enough in the pub among the masses of shitposts like Sprinkles' for me to give it another shot. I never got a chance to formally thank you, bud. So thank you!

Same here man same here:manofapproval:

Honesty being addicted to a good quality vape is probably the least physically harmful addiction you can have

Cigarettes kill more people than any other substance BY FAR, and here we finally have a surefire method to get off them and yet people still want to talk shit about it

That's fine with me I'll vehemently defend vaping to the grave because literally nothing else helped me stop smoking cigs as easily

If you really want to be free of the addiction then just taper down to zero nic.. but I don't see the problem being addicted to something that causes virtually no physical damage

I think a lot of people make the mistake of quitting cold turkey. And as soon as they slip and have one or have a night where they end up drinking and smoking a lot then they get discouraged and let themselves slip more.

Quitting was easiest for me when I simply put it in the back of my mind, and told myself I would cut back on the frequency with which I smoked. It went from a few days between cigarettes(which would sometimes be more than one, or even a night of chainsmoking outside at parties while drunk), to a few weeks, to a few months, and eventually I stopped altogether. The more distance you can put between cigarettes the better, because your lungs/body start to lose it's tolerance to it and you start coughing and feeling not so great. Now I don't know how people smoke so much. I still occasionally get the odd craving for a cigarette when on stimulants or on a long drive or something, but it's easy enough to ignore.

I think vaping is a good way to kickstart it, although I only got a cheapo gas station ecig that I lost shortly after I got it.

I tried to quit cold turkey more times than I can even remember and it never worked in the long term, I always said fuck this and went right back to it eventually

Vaping is the best alternative to smoking cigs hands down but you need to invest in a good device if you go that route the gas station cigalike vapes are total garbage designed to piss you off and make you want a real cig

But I find a good quality vape to be far more satisfying than a cig

it's taken me sooooo many tries to quit. i've quit for months and relapsed. quit for a year and relapsed. it takes a lot to stop man. you know what killed me every time? alcohol.

your chances of succeeding increase with each attempt, and i'm not saying that just to be positive, it's true.

coming from you i'm not surprised, given how you've been completely full of utter shit in the past (still are, i still see ridiculous posts from you from time to time)

I had a "true" addiction to tobacco. smoked a pack a day for a long time. if you want to truly sever your addiction to nicotine, any vaping with any sort of nicotine in it is not the way to go. you're stil feeding the addiction. :flipthebird:

there's just something about chilling outside with all the smokers chainsmoking over some interesting conversation with a drink in your hand.

I still go outside if my friends to and chill with the smokers. I got pretty used to people smoking around me because a decent chunk of my friends smoked cigarettes or black and milds or something while I was quitting.

To each their own

I happen to like the effects of nicotine, it makes my mind more sharp and is proven to relieve depression and anxiety

What I didn't like was sucking down cancerous tar every day just to ward off the nasty withdrawal symptoms of not smoking

I assure you I could easily quit vaping but I won't.. because I enjoy it

And there's no need to be a dick man you're the one who came in here talking shit about our hobby like "Oh cold turkey is superior because vaping is still feeding the addiction" to me that just makes you seem like you're puffing your chest

I quit cold turkey. It was NOT easy. The first 6 months I still craved a cig something awful but I started to realize it was not the smoking that I missed but the action of smoking. I realized I only really wanted a cigarette when I was bored, like it was something to do. So I any time I got bored I started filling the gaps with busy work to keep my mind off of it. 2 years without and still going strong. Not trying to sound arrogant because I do realize just how hard it is to quit but it is mind over matter. Once you figure out what the triggers are that make you want to smoke, you can work on overcoming those triggers and eventually quit all together. If anyone is feeling a serious craving and needs some friendly support please feel free to message me and I will help the best I can to talk you through it. Good luck to all of you who aspire to quit!!

eating food is the same exact thing.  everyone's addicted to something, people just like putting shit in their mouth, touching their lips, i think deep down its sexual, or nurturing.

id be willing to bet, a baby's bottle filled with warm milk, has a good a chance of beating smoking addiction than anything else
