Pink Oyster Straw Basket (pics) * 1
    #21769310 - 06/06/15 08:01 AM (8 years, 7 months ago)

Here are a couple pics of my latest grow....

Pink Oyster Straw Basket.....

These definitely grow different than the Pearls.
The mycelium of these is crystally & shiny looking, where the pearl's looked a lot like whipped cream.

Thanks for the comment & trying to help, but wrong on the FAE...lol.

This is 5 minutes after I took them out of the trash bag from colonization. (just started pinning since they were ready to come out)

They are now outside getting plenty of FAE as well as sitting in the warm rain and loving it.

I was just posting a pic of the basket. Not my 1st rodeo...

This just one of several species and multiple varieties I have done.

That looks great!  Where and how do you store it while it grows?

I put the baskets in new trash bags until they colonize. Then move them outside in the shade to fruit.  On a shelf in the garage summer months.

The oysters require lots of FAE and plenty of water as well. I water them down with a garden house on mist everyday... sometimes twice/day if it's dry out.

Just made up some Pastywhyte agar dishes last night.  I'll be transferring some Pink's to grain before I know it!

Great looking grow, by the way!!

Hey OP. Nice pics. Keep us updated with harvest pics.

I have a 5 gallon bucket of Blue Oysters fruiting on coffee grounds.

Here it is fully colonized. I have since drilled holes, watered it, and placed it outside. Can't wait to see some fruits!!!

I'm looking to expand my collection of Oyster varieties. Pink Oyster looks especially cool. PM me if you want to swap some cultures.
