Birdman was fucking awesome. i mean holy shit. the cinematography was brilliant. there were very few edits or cuts. most of those scenes take over 8 minutes to shoot, and hundreds of takes
meanwhile, most blockbuster action movies have cuts/edits every 2-5 seconds. 15 seconds at most, but that is only someone talking.
yes. go watch your favorite action movie. the takes are only SECONDS long for the entire film. there is probably not one single 60-second cut.
that said, i can get why some people dont like it. its a little weird. and birdman was a logistical fucking nightmare. but it ended up a masterpiece that almost nothing can be compared to in terms of likeness. anyone who appreciates cinematography will love it

I thought birdman was one of those hipster movies that tries to be cool but the actual movie itself is just super boring.

its not like it was cashing in on some fad. it was a completely original piece of work. how is it 'hipster'?
its just original. they took a risk, and it payed out ten-fold

Again, I'm with Gresh; Birdman was amazing. It's a different kind of movie altogether, and I could see how someone doesn't like it, but those are probably the same people who think the Transformers movies are top-tier cinema.

It was slightly disappointing, but I enjoyed a lot of the middle of the movie. The beginning was too slow and the end was just full of holes.
