What's a good supplement to add to verm casing?

Let's say you want to stick with verm as a casing.
During the first few days, when initiating fruiting, could it be a possibility to find some nutes to dilute in a fine spray bottle, and mist the verm? Couldn't hurt right?
What does coir have in it that verm doesn't? Just throwing ideas around... I know plant food is completely wrong... Has anyone ever tried worm castings? I guess the question is, what elements are best for casing, and is it possible to add those, via spray, to verm casing?

no. you want your casing layer to be non-nutritious.
spray with plain water. all the nutes you'll need are in your substrate.

If you want a more diverse casing, you could add coir and/or perlite. You could also use peat but you will have to add lime and/or properly pasteurize it.

the first few days, should you directly spray cakes in SGFC?
If it was an extremely fine mist, there wouldn't be a problem right? You want to avoid direct spraying after pinset, correct?

Alway mist the mushrooms and cakes directly. They will not abort from gentle misting.

I found a fine mist spray bottle like people use when cutting hair. Works extremely well.

Yup - excellent to hear. Never hurts to fine tune and get tips to dialing in the ideal.
