NZ ID Request

********** IDENTIFICATION REQUIRED PLEASE ************ NO BRUISING
hi everyone. this is my first season hunting and also my first post. I've spent a lot of time doing research into all the magic variants in New Zealand but I seem to only be able to get so far without actually experiencing a find and knowing exactly what to look for.
I went out today and found a lot of mushroom which i thought were active (they visually looked like the species i was looking for). when i got home after about 3 hours none had blued so I'm guessing they're not active but they look like they should be. correct habitat and similar characteristics. I know there are a lot of similar species. the problem I'm having is that I don't know the look alikes yet. I was looking for liberty caps, gold caps, blue meanies and subs. i mostly found what i thought were gold caps. i'll write some info under the pics

found these mostly on rotting wood or around it found a couple under a tree in a field too. i thought they were gold tops but I've observed no bruising. gills had a yellow light brown tint. caps are gold/brown with a light perimeter. last photo shows generally the habitat i found them in.

the two on the left of the pic were found in a field in the area around cow dung but not growing directly from it. the other two on the right look like a similar species but found in a different location. gills are black to grey and the caps have a grey tinge to them. sorry for the bad pic of the gills.

these i thought were liberty caps. remained the same colour after picking.

found in a field. quite rigid. slippery cap when whet. now that its dry its no longer slippery. dark chestnut colour throughout. no idea what these are.

thought these were blue meanies or libs. not sure. again no bruising seen
im not expecting to have had a successful first hunt but if i can identify the right and wrong species it'll help for next time thanks for all your help

This isn't for I'd requests. And none of those look active to me.

None look active to me. Even if every other characteristic fits, if there isnt any blue bruising i would avoid them, it really is a key identifier. Good luck for your next hunt! Next time post your ID requests in a seperate thread, you'll get a better response

None of those are active. Please don't make ID requests on any official actives thread. Make a separate ID thread, this thread is for confirmed actives only.

Very funny
But seriously, is there a thing whereby mods can only move posts to another thread with the rest of the comments that came after it? It seems to happen that way.. and now I have to repost the post that you moved

Yes, there sure is. It's really good for moving ID requests posted in official threads into their own thread.

I think you misunderstood me. I mean why do the comments following the ID request always get shifted along with the request? Shouldn't the request itself be the only post that's moved?

The comments get moved if they are in reply to the ID request, but remain if they are in reply to one of the other ones.
Yours was in reply to barefootedwizard, which was in reply to the ID request.
I usually edit posts like yours to change the reply to chain, however you posted at the exact instant that I moved the ID request and its replies.

I see I never press reply on people's posts, I just start typing in the comment box, so I don't know why my post was in response to his. But nevertheless, I understand now.
