ID Help
    #21766588 - 06/05/15 04:24 PM (8 years, 7 months ago)

Greetings everyone!

I am hoping that someone could possibly help me id the mushrooms that I have found. I believe that they are oyster mushrooms, though I'm not 100%. I have no intentions on eating these, as they were quite past their prime and 'wormy'. Plus, I just happened upon them, not really looking for edible fungi. Anyway, here are the pics. I took a spore print that looked to be white, though very few spores were actually dropped. Also, I only looked at the spores with my naked eye. Perhaps they didn't drop many spores due to their age? It rained often for about a week, ending 2 days ago. It's also been slightly chilly, given the season.

Anyway, any help would be much appreciated.

I also forgot to add; they had a strong smell of anise, like oysters are supposed to? Thanks again.

Those look huge.

Found quite a few oysters but never many that large.

Maybe angel wings at that size.

Not sure what makes you say that. Angels wings are generally thin and fragile, and I have found oysters that were well over a foot wide.
