First dance with San Pedro

Friends, Shroomites and fellow Psychonauts,
I am going to be having my first San Pedro experience next week with one of the local Shaman. I have a lot of experience with LSD and shrooms.
My question is what can I expect from San Pedro as apposed to shrooms and acid? In term of dose the Shaman said the dose would be "enough but not too much". We will be taking this out in nature with ritual etc.

I'm looking forward to hearing about this I'm currently cultivating a small peruvian torch cactus for my first trip I'd like to think it would mean more to me that I grew it from scratch

You can expect nothing but pure bliss and clarity. San Pedro is one of the smoothest, earthiest type of experience. You even have a shaman with you? I'm jealous.

Looking forward myself! Been planning this for years, out of the blue the opportunity arose.
I am trying to get an idea of what Im in for as I always get a varying amount of anxiety when I will be taking moderate to high doses of any entheogen.
Kinda like, for me and many others mushrooms are introspective and ancient in entities with a Aztec type twist.
Acid can be "cosmic" and infinite with ranging entity awareness/communication much like McKenna's elves etc.
What can I expect from the cactus? Are egoloss and entities common with San Pedro in moderate to high doses? Each has the there own experience I know, just wondering if there is a common theme with San Pedro?

I have experienced peyote a few times. I think there's less chance of a bad trip with mescaline than with shrooms or lsd so just relax and prepare by meditating alot and meditate during the experience itself too. Let go and let God. Mescaline is so wonderful, I look forward to doing it again sometime.

Don't try to pre-define your experience, just let it happen.

Ahh I see what you mean. I wouldn't know much about there being a common "theme" because I've never really thought about that till now...
All I know is that it feels like the universe slaps your third eye open and you see/feel love everywhere in the world and all the answers to whatever questions you may have just start flowing like the ocean. All while being guided by some goddess. I really need to order some cuttings...
Anyways, I hope you have a very meaningful experience. Were you planning on smoking any herb during your ceremony?

All of the above was spot on. You all helped ease my anxiety. A short trip report at http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/21946150

Yawn, "enough but not too much" better be 300mg at least.. otherwise just go home.
