Serenity now, serenity now. :singletear:

Here are just a few but the bandwidth on this WiFi is mediocre at best. I'll post more when I get home. Enjoy.

the gardens look wonderful. I especially love how in the middle of the pond(?) there is a dinosaur. The waterfall looks super sic wit it , as does the ferns(?) growing from rock.

I love the tropical/Japanese vibe the place gives me.

Thanks ferrel for sharing these images and taking us with you. Job well done.

I've been there a couple times myself and always enjoyed the bamboo forests. Can't believe it's free!

Did you find their datura?

Didn't get to see it
Or maybe I did and didn't recognize it. It's a 6 dollar entrance but I didn't have cash and said said donate something so I bout this mug. Suits me well.

It was the most amazing time I have ever had. My very first time going to a botanical garden. I felt like kbg on one of his many hikes. And the whole time I thought about everyone here. I made it a point to go picture crazy cause I wanted everyone to kinda get a feel about what it was like. I almost cried being there.

Thanks brother. It was definitely a magical experience.

I was surprised the cactus and succulent section was so small. It was cool as fuck but small. That astrophytum ornatum was huge. Size comparison with uncle moneybags.

No problem man,and yeah, you figure Texas, and Cacti go hand in hand, but at least what they do have is out of sight!

I never have seen an Astrophytum ornatum thta big, ever!

I never even knew they got remotely that size!

I think it's the columnaris cultivar. Maybe. what ever it is I just wanted to go and ask someone in the front if I could have it. It was beautiful. I marveled and stared and touched it. I was mesmerized by it.

Astros are a good choice. Very hardy but give them a rocky soil. They tend to last longer.

It's my white whale. I have yet to own a cactus of that size. That if when I started I would have saved at least one cutting, I would definitely own one by now.

It's too late to but now no? I see them at the beginning of spring all over big box stores, which is the time I usually make my way there. I'll have to plant them early In a spot where they can just throw seed. I've never seen their flowers.

They still sell them up here, but then again we are in totally different climate zones.

The flowers are cool, they shoot out long spikes that look exactly like Salvia blooms:thumbup:

What is the placebo drug in coleus? I remember it being mentioned once. You can't use it to drug up, can you? It's magical on so many levels.:awecid:

This may be why you thought so.

Looks like you had a great day out in a nice garden setting. It's taken a while to look at the pictures because I partied too hard on the weekend, thanks for uploading so many. I know it can be a pain in the arse. I like the part where you mentioned how you thought of people here. That's something I do constantly when out and about.

Botanical gardens are always on the list of things to do when I visit a new area. You never know what you're going to find and you always have a good time.

Thanks, man. Your happiness shines through your pictures.

I bet you they have many plants that grow in hot humid regions. Maybe salvia.

I can not wait to see!!!

I bet this isn't the only botanical garden there either.

Even though I have no use for Salvia personally,I would like to acquire one, just to see how well I could get one to grow there, and possibly get it to flower!

I bet you they don't even need any humidity domes.

If you put a humidity dome over anything in Florida,it would be a humidity overlaid!

It's already super high, and drenching on the good days there:lol:

That's one thing I noticed that it rains every single day. Well I would know but 3 days I was there it rained sporadically all three days.

Well,in North West Florida it was totally different, and we had droughts.

However,I'm moving to central Florida, which is totally different.

That being said, when I went to Disney World, for a straight week,it never rained the whole time I was there, and it was so freaking humid and hot, that my family had to take naps mid day, then return back to the park at evening time.

I just stayed at the pool drinking until they were ready to go back:lol:

That shit doesn't bother me in the least:lol:

Central Florida has a rainy season, and you probably visited during that time.
