Caitlyn Jenner..... everybody is coming out these days!

Man she looks great! Now people are coming to me asking me for "before" photos to see what I looked like prior to transitioning to female. Ive met some people that told me that it was gross and that she was sick in the head. One of these people asked me if I knew anyone who changed gender, after I didn't say anything they continued to bash. In both instances I didn't tell them I was trans, I let them have their opinion because its a free country.
A few days later I ran into one of the people and they could barely look me in the eyes. I just kept my cool and kept talking like I didn't know what was going on. They apologized and said they didn't know, blah blah blah, asked why I didn't tell them.
I asked them what they were talking about and they told me they learned I was trans. I said YEP and kept talking to them like it wasn't a big deal that they disapproved. I told them its a free country and who am I to tell you who to like and accept? Me being black, sometimes I know that some of us tend to overplay the black thing. Makes me sick "why can't there be a black Barbie, or a black Frozen". I'm like, if you want one, go make one lol!
Now I am getting asked questions about dating and how it all works and junk. I wonder who else is going to come out trans this year?
Time to start a betting pool! winner gets SPORES! Lets go!!!

Personally, I think he looks way better now as a woman, than before when he was getting all those plastic surgeries but still trying to maintain his image as a male.
I don't even know why he got all that plastic surgery as a male, he looked sooooo much better before doing any of that to his face.

But, now that he's transitioned to being a woman, he looks great! It's amazing how much facial reconstruction, jawline and trachea shaves, implants and hormones can turn you into a completely different person!

She looks great on the cover of Vanity Fair photographed by one of the greatest photographers of all time after about 57 pounds of makeup was applied. Yah. I'm gonna go ahead and say that we have no idea what she looks from that picture.
By the way, Macey, the NY Times has been all over this trans stuff lately.
http://www.nytimes.com/2015/06/04/opinion/let-transgender-troops-serve-openly.html
Usually you will get three pieces in the editorial section. Today they took the whole column. I was rather curious as to how that group came up with a figure of 15,500 transgenders in the military so I went to the link in the article which was a policy piece by Jocelyn Elders (We all remember her, right?) and the cite was to this
Quote:
e Gary Gates and Jody Herman (forthcoming). Transgender Military Service in the United States, Los Angeles, CA: Williams Institute. Drs. Gates and Herman are in the process of updating their calculations.
Imma gonna go out on a real big limb here and guess that that number might be a tad high. Apparently the brilliant journalists at the NY Times couldn't be bothered to notice that.

It's great for such a revolutionary thing to come out mainstream and get so much positive attention. I know a few trans people on a hi-hello basis. But in the end it's just more celebrity news bullshit used to dis-inform media watchers about what is actually happening and what is an actually news-worthy current event. Not that this isnt newsworthy, but to this effect and for this length of time it's turned into a distraction. Big media just found caught a big tasty bite to feed us is all. I commend the Caitlyn and the country for having the courage to do this though, and all people fighting to better social norms.

Its SHE... lol and I did the same thing! Went from a huge black guy to an amazon with legs up to my chin. Hormones made my chest grow and I'm afraid that I'm going to end up with boobs like my mom, because they keep growing and getting lower, and lower.... mammograms hurt like a mother. The craziest thing I realized is that I'm going to end an old lady. Never really thought about that till now..
The lower surgery was a piece of cake. I laid on my back and played PlayStation for 2 weeks. Couldn't get stoned though

The funniest part of this whole story is when Rob K. was sent the pic of Caitlyn J. by Kim K. and the response was "who is this woman, and why should I care?".
Fortunately, the taxpayers apparently will be on the hook for the necessary sex change operations, isn't that great?

It's a pretty bad reflection on society when the media deems it appropriate to indulge in the delusions of people with a severe mental illness. Why is it not appropriate to praise the delusions of schizophrenics? Why don't we give steroids to young males with body dysmorphia? I think the political correctness surrounding transgenders is setting a precedent for the future treatment of other mental illnesses. And it's not a good precedent.

I really like this thought for the most part, but I disagree with the conclusion. It might be a great precedent. What's the real harm done by enabling people to explore new ways to cope with their mental illnesses (for lack of a better term)? It seems the current popular methods pretty much suck.

Nobody seems to care about when a woman formerly known as Bruce rear ended some lady because he was tailgating her, and she died. Of course no charges were filed, he's a star and probably the paparazzi are to blame.

You do realize the brain and body gender separately? It is just as easy to say it is a physical disorder to have a woman born with a penis.
I doubt you have anything but a pop understanding of sexuality. More likely, you are a nervous heterosexual male who is made undomfortable by the prospect of finding yourself attracted to a woman who still has a penis.

Most mental illnesses and diseases have are underscored by a biological/physiological source. That does not mean it shouldn't be treated. Indulging in the delusions of transpeople is not treatment. As I said before all it does is set a precedent for people suffering from other mental illnesses to have their delusions indulged as well.

As long as the sex change operations are covered by Obamacare, then everybody should be happy "in the end".

It's not delusional if your brain and body are not the same sex.

Covered by obanacare? What does that even mean? Legitimate medical procedures are covered by your insurance plans. I doubt you have any qualifications to determine what is legitimate.

I believe you are confusing the term sex and gender now.
I thought I was the one with pop-science understanding of sexuality?
Also, since the difference often lies between the body and the brain why are we treating these people with crude surgeries? Isn't the brain a much more malleable structure? Brain structure can change with drug use, traumatic experiences, etc. It seems much easier to change the brain than the body.

If the brain were so easy to change, we would not have so many stupid people in the world. Besides, conversion therapy as practiced is barbaric. If it worked it would amount to a form of personal mutilation, but far more often traumatizes its victims... haven't you heard of Leelah Alcorn?

Indeed. The brain is a lot harder to change than a simple dickectomy. That is routine surgery easily accomplished in a few hours. Titus, on the other hand, would need years of work to fix his brain
