So I followed directions from this site and simmered it 2 egg whites, but here's my major concern is. I read that your supposed to avoid eggs for the MAOI diet so isn't that potentially dangerous? What should I do here?

I think you don't know what you're doing.
The only thing you use egg whites for is an egg white clarification, not simmering in egg whites...
I don't think you should be doing ayahuasca if you can't get a simple recipe right no offense.
That being said after you cook it and it is ready, you add egg whites into the hot liquid, mix it in and then put it back on the stove. Very quickly the egg whites harden and float mostly to the top and you filter it keeping the liquid and disposing of the egg whites. The tannins bind to the egg whites making for a less nauseating drink

Yeah I get the theory, but after there isn't any left over stuff that could be harmful from the eggs, or is straining it out of the brew fine.
What I'm asking is preparing the brew in this way can't cause a bad reaction with the harmaline?

Eggs? THe hell is that supposed to help with lol
n what MAOI you using? Most aren't bad with food.
EDIT: Nvm read posts.
If you strain it no problem mate.
Honestyl most things they say to lookout for have just been safety precaustions that seemingly don't affect much.
always better safe than sorry tho

First... Add egg whites at the end to remove tanins Simmer for a minute... Let sit for 5.... Strain out the egg whites
Second... Eggs are not restricted from MAOI diets
Lastly... If you are using a reversible MAOI, like b caapi or rue, then the whole MAOI diet thing doesn't apply... What you see on line about MAOI diets are for prescription MAOI that are not reversible
To be safe, I do avoid processed meats and sauerkraut while I am tripping using an MAOI ... But honestly....not a problem... The MAOI is not active long... Why timing of sky and MAOi is critical
Peace

Oh my god, such ignorance. Not only do people not realize that it is not hazardous to consume tyramine with rue or caapi, but they believe that foods that were never restricted from those pharmaceutical MAOIs are MAOI restricted! Eggs are not on the pharma MAOI restriction list! People should read my recent post about this topic: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/21761097#21761097 Processed meats are not MAOI restricted, HarryL!
Now, if you actually do violate the diet when on caapi it will probably deactivate the caapi. So, violating the diet is undesired, but it's not hazardous.
