This looks potentially interesting. I bet if you changed the subject to something like "blue-bruising Mycena-like mushroom: please ID!", you'd get more responses from TIs...

Awesome. They look like two different species in the last pic.

Thanks everyone, an interesting discussion, I didnt realise how much there was to know about mushrooms, its really interesting, I think I might get a microscope so I can look at their spores too!.
I changed the subject as per Coens recommendation.
So are they Mycena amicta? and if so are they poisonousness or psychedelic? I cant seen to find much info on them

Probably. Needs microscopy to be sure.

Nobody really knows. There's no published reports stating they contain Psilocin and only anecdotal reports from a few people. One of those people is a nut case. Some species of Mycena contain muscarine and could be poisonous.

None of the other blue-bruising Mycena species have been shown to be active either. There was a video (I believe someone posted on this forum awhile back, but I am not certain) of a reality type show where some restaurateurs went out to collect edibles with a "guide". The edibles they were picking were legit if memory serves, but said "guide" found what appeared to be blue-staining Mycena, and was confidently identifying them as "magic mushrooms." It seems like he might have said that they were Psilocybe quebecensis, but I may be remembering that wrong due to the fact that they were in or near that species' range.

Thanks for all your help. I have another mushroom found at the same location (but very different looking) that I will ask for your help with but I will create a new thread and need to organise the photos and description!
