Yeah, I brought the water to a boil, mixed in the dry ingredients and let simmer for several minutes before pouring into 1/4 pint jars for PC.
I picked up some telephone brand agar today while I was out with my asian girlfriend and her parents shopping. I will try this brand with similar ratios and see if it makes any difference.
I've got mine off eBay, from a food and spice supplier. works like a charm, test the ratios it should set in minutes

Thats how I make it, but I put the potato flakes in a coffee grinder and hit it a few times. Telephone brand will work fine with your recipe.

It was fully colonized the first week of april. that's how bad straw wants a casing layer. I cased it and less than a week and had pins.

BHT and B+. All 6 bags are now either fruiting or pinning. The pins on the BHT are first flush and are looking dense.

It's a lazy man's FC for sure. Tbh, they like it better when I mist and leave the top half off at least once a day for like 30mins. It's temp, humidity, and FAE automated control.

I just use an unmodified tub a plastic bag and leave the lid partially on depending on if I'm home or not some combination of lid and bag. no fancy shit, but you just have to know what they want.
