I take all that stuff and more. Instead of veggies in a pill, I eat veggies. Those are all good things he mentions, I take a cap of turmeric in the morning and another in the evening, lots of minerals like magnesium, calcium, zinc, copper, potassium and lithium. Loads of herbs like garlic, cinnamon, green tea and turmeric of course, ginger, holy basil, olive leaf, grapeseed extract, fish oil, cordyceps, and others.
I take vitamins too along with creatine, glucosamine, chondroitin, and other stuff I can't think of right now like zeaxanthin.
He hasn't had a cold in a year? That's good, I haven't had one in 15 years. Not one sick day.

That is if what you are getting is a fish oil in the first place. There are no regulations for supplement market.. a lot of product research shows that a lot of supplements don't even contain trace amounts of what they claim on the label.
If you want omega-3 just add some fish or mollusks that are low in methylmercury to your diet once or twice a week. It's always best to go for the raw source.

Very true. Dr. Mercola recommends Krill Oil but that shit is expensive as fuck
My favorites are Green Tea and Acai, great sources of antioxidants. Just google search "green tea health benefits" and it's hard not to jump on board. The green teas you find in gas stations and grocery stores usually have high fructose corn syrup
I just got the tumeric today, I'm hoping to notice a difference!

Take the turmeric and don't expect to feel anything but its working anyway. In india they have very low rates of certain diseases and it was traced in part to turmeric in the curry they ate.
Buy a name brand of fish oil and it will be the real thing. Or buy from a big company, they can't afford to be embarrassed by selling fakes so they test out their merchandise.

Here is another little free tip. People come down with things ranging from a cold to more serious illnesses much more often during a period of stress than periods in which things are going well and little stress is felt. We all remember an exception like getting sick before something you wanted to do but generally it comes along when we are feeling beaten down.
Learn to mellow out, relax, and de-stress yourself every day at least for a few minutes. I haven't had a "sick day" since 2000 but I have had days I felt bad, was tired, had not slept well or had too much going on at once. Often then I might feel a bug trying to bite but when I get that stressed feeling or like a cold is trying to take over, I mellow out, take some time no matter how busy I am and chill. It includes relaxation and types of meditation. This helps a lot too.
Reasonable amounts of vitamins are good. Mega doses of anything are usually more harmful than good, imo. Reasonable amounts of minerals too, like magnesium, calcium, potassium, and for the gals of that age group, extra iron. Most men and non menopausal women get more than enough iron from meat. Vegetarians have to think about iron a little more.

Vitamin supplements are the biggest hoax in the health industry. They do jack shit and can be bad for you in some cases. I suggest just eating good food.

Mostly true. They don't do jack, unless you eat like a swine in which case you should pick up some better habits. Used to work with a kid who ate all sugar drinks and candy for breakfast lunch and dinner.
He won't live past the age of 40.
Coconuts are good, I like coconut water myself. Cranberries are good too. Pinot Noir obviously - but not to excess.
My power food is beef jerky. If you drink enough water, it's one of the best nutrient dense foods for its convenience.

Green tea extract can mean several different things.
You can extract caffeine, ECGC, L-theanine and more from it. I assume what you have it ECGC extract

Not true. ECGC can be used to make not-so-bio-available amino acids considerably more active, especially neurochemicals.
Caffiene extracted from green tea? how is caffeine bullshit?
Ginseng? One of the oldest used, and still very actively used herbs of all time you are calling BS on?

I get that good food + exercise is nice for mind/body harmony, but that does not mean we cannot make use of supplementation.
How many people have their own farm that can get good, fresh, unadulterated produce year round? I certainly do not.
America in general is low on Magnesium intake due to farming practices, among other things, so a little extra magnesium supplemented in the hypothetical already-semi-healthy diet can be really useful

Now the negative nabobs are telling us vitamins, minerals, and other supplements do no good at all. I guess doctors have no clue because they tell us vitamins are essential to good health. If you don't get enough in your diet, you need more. Today's fast food crap has had most vitamins taken out. For example bleached flour, white rice, and most processed food.
Ever heard of scurvy, beriberi, pellagra, or rickets? Those are deficiency diseases from lack of vitamins or minerals.

Lots of people eating up the anti supplement propaganda put out by big pharma and the doctors they pay. They don't want people to be healthy because they aren't making any money off of them.
They want to ban anything that might help keep people from being sick.
No one who's into supplements is buying the super cheap garbage supplements from the dollar store.

That David Wolfe guy is coming out with a new book that claims to provide a comprehensive understanding about the colorful chemicals in foods (like turmeric, which is golden yellow) called The Color Cure.
David Wolfe is interesting and he speaks positively about psychedelic drugs, i.e. David Wolfe on LSD, Reservatrol, Sirt 1 gene and more
