Raised Bed - Beer Bottle Wall

Howdy hey fellow DIY shroomerites.
I've been working on this raised garden bed for a couple of days now, the idea is to recycle as much as possible in the construction. Nothing you see (besides the beer) was bought, all done from scrap wood... now I just need to surround the bastard in those big ass ol' rocks and then it won't look like as much shit.
Opinions? Suggestions? I would love to know what you all think.

That's pretty Damn neat. My only suggestion is to add some blue bud platinum bottles and some green bottles.

That is pretty cool man! Looks like you've been busy dinking! Did you epoxy the bottles together?

No I didn't need too, I just took some locally-collected sand and packed it inbetween the bottles, added water then added the next level. The sand turns to near-concrete so it holds them together really well, the wood isn't actually needed, it could stand up on it's own. Only reason I used the wood was so I could add garden soil from the store, since my soil is the equivalent of compact-dust.

I agree, I tried on the bottom level to go white, brown, white, brown, etc. It looked pretty cool, but I unfortunatly ran out of colored bottles so I had to resort to the abundant brown ones I have. I got a shit ton of wine bottles too that I need to figure out what to do with.
Oh, and this Bed is actually just the little sister of my cactus garden which was built the same way, just with the wood removed before adding the sand/soil/cactus mix.

I have a tree in the back yard, I've hung wine bottles, Yeager bottles, Tabasco bottles, some other different bottles. All hung using bailing wire.
It's not an oak, but imagine 20 years from now if it was. The wire would grow into the tree. The bottles faded by the sun. It'd be Devils rejects farm house looking, minus the blood shed.

Would you happen to have a pic of it? I am curious to see how it looks, I unfortunately am not somewhere with trees I think my tallest tree is about 12 FT and I highly doubt it's branches could hold up an empty wine bottle, but it is worth consideration.

It's just an old shorter tree. I took the pic after I painted my flywheel, lol.
Imagine if it was 20 feet tall. Old bottles throughout the limps.

i used a lot of empty bottles around the yard, mostly for s drain in the patio cement slab, used to have way more empties but feels good to reuse.
filled the 6 inch wide gap that i cut in the slab with beer bottles upside down then topped with river rock

Pretty cool. Another neat DIY usage for old beer bottles is to cut them around 1/3 of the way up to the spout. One you've got enough cut you can turn them upside down and cram them into the ground to make a path through your garden. We use to have one of these and it was great - lasted ages too!
