Visionary Tools said: There are some things I don't like about it:
Where's my skills gone? Eh, not bad, just, It's confusing and is gonna take a while to get used to. Not sure I like 4 levels of lockpicking/pickpocketing being a "perk". Or that bloody mess is a perk.
How do I find out what's modifying my special stats? I know hats do but I'd like to see on the special screen a list of effects, say, strength is a minus 2 because of buffout withdrawal I'd like the effects screen to also show console cheats. Ever since fallout 3 i've been typing player.modav carryweight 10000 and it's worked from every single game. I bet if I went into morrowind or oblivion it'd work to. You can modav your special stats to, if you want luck to be 10, like I did in new vegas when gambling.
This is not so much that I dislike it, but I think it's funny when building how I can have stairs floating in midair with nothing around.
I regret making my character look stupid with his big nose and huge chin. I want valdimir putin to be a preset face. Also I want Vladimir Putin to do the voice acting but I hear he's busy
Bloody mess has always been a perk. When was it not? 4 perks of lockpicking is the same as 25, 50, 75, 100 if it were skills. The skill system kinda sucked in that regard. It was cool having some of them, but the rest, you could put 15 points into a skill and it wouldn't do shit for you. I'm fine with everything for the most part, everything has it's place. Nothing has really been outright removed, just shuffled around. Like, I thought waiting was removed, but you can only do it in chairs now, which makes sense, why would you stand up for 12 hours straight in the same spot?
I'm gonna check into the special stats thing though. I have a few pieces of gear modifying my SPECIAL and I haven't taken a look to see what effects what. Each STR level is definitely an extra 10lb of carry weight, luck is an extra 1% crit chance, etc, but I dunno about all the other stuff.

I got stuck in an elevator and it won't let me out. I'm with the brotherhood of steal and theirs a mission you need to go up an elevator to complete. It won't let me and if I can't leave cuz I'm on an island so I guess I'm stuck till they do an update.

I just finished that today no real problems, the guy appears out of nowhere in the elevator or on the floor once i arrive, also it turns me around every time it stops and the doors open.
I had huge glitches in the Pull the Plug mission, where you swim looking for the leaking pipe that is forming bubbles...yeah the white rock material stuff, i walk in and through it, sometimes i fall down to the normal ground sometimes it looks like im walking waist deep in snow. I got 2 of the wheels turned but the glitch is preventing me from being able to find the third wheel, its buried under the white glitch layer. I guess i'll have to come back to that later once it's patched.
Bought Disc, +Steam.

Check your saves because you probably have an autosave from right before you got on it, or maybe 10 minutes back but still better then just being stuck waiting for a patch. The autosave system isnt the best but it does save every X minutes as well as everytime you load into something. I started my game over so I could do my reroll thing and when I went to delete my 1 or 2 saves I thought I had, I actually had like 10 with all the different autosaves it was making.

Even the Ps4 does autosaving. So when you either hit start to get the system menu, or from the main menu of the game, you went to LOAD and looked at all the saves you have listed there and NONE of them are from before you went into the elevator????
The only other suggestion I have is see if there is a console in the ps4 version like there is on PC. on PC with the console you can put in a command to turn off clipping so you can basically walk right through the wall, then turn it back off when you get outside of it. Historically though consoles dont have the 'game console' available. On PC you hit the ` or ~ key I believe.

Well I shut down the system and rebooted and it works fine now. I got to the Red Sea and found a bunch of mini nukes. I have a bad feeling I am close to the end. 6 years of waiting and I am done in less than a week.

Fun. Very much so. The AI in general is somewhat smarter than in previous games, although they do still suffer from frequent brain damage. "OH FUCK, MY FRIEND'S HEAD EXPLODED INTO A GAZILLION BITS! Eh, must have been the wind."
The only thing I don't really like is that higher difficulty only means enemies turning into bullet sponges and you developping a spontaneous lead allergy.

It took me about 15 hours to beat the main story line.
I have 40+hours in it so far. There is a ton of shit to do.
If you want a challenge get sanctuary to 100% happiness

Or you could all just reroll like me. Its amazing how much time it takes just to get through the intial stupid concord quest and start sanctuary. I thought for sure I'd be able to rush through it all in 20 minutes after I got off work so I could get caught up. Nope. Game sucks up way more time then it seems thats for sure as 4 hours later and I still havnt come close to catching up to where I was.

The institute is the final part of the story line. There is one more quest after you leave and then the final quest. I wasnt rushing. I took my time with it. Remember to get virgils serum.
