Can I take syrian rue after ayahuasca, just in case.

I've made a couple Ayahuasca brews and the results were mild, no nausea and slight dizziness and calmness. I was using 50 grams caapi and 25 grams Hawaiian Viridis(as I've heard it's more potent). Tonight I will be using 50 grams caapi and 50 grams Viridis.
I'm a bit worried this might not be enough caapi but I still want a traditional ayahuasca experience. So I was wondering if I can take syrian rue AFTER an hour or so of drinking the ayahuasca brew(in case I feel no effects), can it still function as an MAOI or would it be too late since I already ingested the ayahuasca (and thus the dmt) first?
Peace and love!

It would be too late because the purpose of the MAOI is to allow the DMT to pass through the intestines without being broken down.

Why not just take the rue first?

I wanted to have a caapi and viridis only brew. The Rue was more in case I didn't have enough caapi. But it makes sense I would have to use the rue first. ANyway I went with my intuition and trusted my brew would work and it did, and indeed it showed me it worked the previous two times, but the effects were subtle (at the time I thought I was dreaming some visions, but it WAS ayahuasca) and the effects came on strong but short with 50/50 caapi and viridis.

Caapi alone is psychoactive. I'd find the sweet spot without admixture. You should feel almost drunk but tripping. Your thoughts/ego should split and feel almost braided; like there's more than one person inside your head or you're thinking about multiple things at once. You should see some mild visuals. Not quite like traditional psychedelics but definitely there. Turning your head too fast may make you nauseous or feel more drunk but also make the visuals more apparent. You may also feel relaxed and euphoric. Almost like MDMA but with a lot more body load.
When you're experiencing the above you should be fully inhibited. From there you can find an appropriate dose of admixture.
For my current batch 65g gets me there but this can vary a lot from person to person and vine to vine.
Anyway, you can mix Rue and Caapi if need be.
