Found this in the woods I don't think they're psychadelic but they look cool and I'm curious.[url=http://files.shroomery.org/files/15-23/334795390-Snapchat--7169817294257092381.jpg][/ur

Quite certainly a Gymnopus sp., but a gill shot would help.

Try also to carefully brush the dirt off of the stem base
and take a picture of it, including any mycelial threads
attached.

Do you mean gymnopulus as in the big laughing gym? And I didn't think it was anything special so I left it there. But that group of four was by a bunch of others. They were just growing in the ground on and around dead tree branches. I can go back tomorrow and find them again if you think I should.

Gymnopus dryophila or one of it's close relatives.  Alot more people will try to work out an ID if you include some info. If you don't know what to include this will be a huge help http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/5731447

I recommend using that sample as a template and filling in as many of the requested fields for the mushroom in question as possible. Just doing this process regularly will take you a long way towards learning to recognize some of the features used in identification.

That's a trip, I couldn't see any of the previous replies until after I posted. Maybe it was because I used the "back button" from a page I left my computer on for a while.
