I went out for my first picking tonight and found only two small shrooms, but I am fairly confident they are cubes. I'm going to wait another day or two and check back, but I'd like to know if the one shroom I found is safe. You man not be able to see it but there is blueing on the top of the stem where I separated it from the cap.

You need to fill out the Id request template for an accurate answer.
Don't think they're cubes though

That is a strange place for the only bluing to be, people see blue when it isnt there regularly. I have been sure i saw mushrooms bruising, that were not, but it is not a great picture for ID requests.

Yeah it was around 4 when I took the picture. The lighting is crap. I took a spore print overnight though to further identify. This one was picked right beside a fairly aged cow patty.

Yeah, he was picked right next to the big one. The coloring is the same but it looks like it had already been stepped on at some point, so its pretty hard to tell. Thanks for the encouragement!

Quick hunting question while there are still people in the thread. When I went out it was two days since the last rain. Temperature held steady in the mid 80s, and the humidity fairly low (around 40-50 during the day and around 80 at night). Could more have sprouted up, or should I wait till the next rain? By my current ten day it should rain again on Tuesday.
