Ever buy something inedible?
    #21755085 - 06/02/15 09:52 PM (8 years, 7 months ago)

I've been running out of meat and am sourcing out some local meat from a small town about an hour away. I was craving meat today when i got off work and intended on buying some steaks. They ended up being too pricey so i settled for a pepperoni stick and a pack of 9 giant mild italian sausages ($9).

I was considering cooking perogies but decided to make chicken soup from stock and cooked 3 sausages (1 for me, 1 for my mom, 1 for lunch). They absolutely filled the pan with grease (probably close to 1/4" deep) and are disgusting. I feel awful now and think I will throw out the other 6 in the freezer and 1.75 in fridge.

What a waste.

Who eats this shit?

That's pretty shitty. I'm always weary of any cheap sausage though. Nothing but lips and assholes.

Should have fried the perogies in the sausage grease.

I bought a whole chicken once that was like rubber once cooked. It was some weird brand that I just avoid now.

When I say it was like rubber I don't mean it was kinda chewy or tough.. I mean it really felt like you were chewing rubber balls or something. I dunno wtf that company does to their chickens but I know to avoid it now.

Bought it hearing it was good for the digestive system.
Smelled like funky asshole and I gagged eating 3 bites.

Its incredible that state of the art food technology can produce something so inedible, isnt it? You wonder if anyone producing it ever ate it.

That's funny cause I buy a lot of my staples at the Dollar store both canned and dry and it is usually The same stuff as the grocery store but 30 to 50% cheaper. But back on topic I've bought some pretty nasty stuff from time to time where you take one bite and have to spit it out and the funny part is it smells and looks fine. By that point I'm usually so pissed off that I don't even bother to take it back.:psycrankey:

You would have saved money to just buy the steaks since you ended up throwing that shit away. Just buy 1 steak and share it between the 3 of you, so you all get a good taste.
Then use cheap vegetables like potatoes and do something good with them as filler.

Last week I had some bad chicken tenders from the deli. They were the good $8 ones. When I bit into them they would just crumble into dust like they were fried for 2 hours. I wanted to go back and throw them at the deli people. They knew they were selling me shit.

Once a year I buy a piece of produce from walmart and its always bad. The last one was an onion that was black and gooey in the middle.

I went to a japanese resterant and ordered edamame for the first time a couple years ago just because i knew the word but didn't know what it was.

I ate like 4-5 of them out of a huge plate and i was like "this shit sucks, its not even cooked. I can barely even chew it enough to swallow it".  Then i didn't eat the rest.

spoiler: i was eating the pods too.
