Gohan, let it go.
It is not a sin to fight for the right cause.
There are those who words alone will not reach.
Cell is such a being.
I know how you feel Gohan.
You are gentle, you do not like to hurt.
I know because I too have learned these feelings,
but it is because you cherish life that you must protect it.

I think that protecting the weak is very necessary. Take for instance you see someone being taken advantage of, lets say by umm.being sold some bunk shrooms,

so you A. don't say anything and this dumb ass of a person eats these mushies without any previous knowledge and he goes to the hospital and dies or

B. you step up and voice that it is wrong and the whole situation is avoided. Too much in society we ALL let people get taken advantage of without saying

anything and it is down right sad. We all should be protecting each other and have each others backs. If we don't do it for each other who will?

very nice :smile:

yea and even if it happened to be a loss of money or something, and not a full life, it's still the same type of thing

i really liked the way you expressed that, because it's quite possible to say things in such a way that really does good.

But is entrapment morally defensible?

it should happen but doesn't as often as it should

most side with the strong as it create 'safety' for themselves and we greedy humans mostly are about self preservation

it makes no sense in nature to be on the losing side... even if morally thats the side you should be on.

morals are human things to aspire to but when it comes down to the nature of the beast survival trumps all.

'a man who makes a beast of himself rids himself the pain of being a man'

I don't think a quote from 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas' applies in this context.

its actually samuel johnson but well spotted there lol :thumbup:
look up dr johnson

and i think it applies.

following the crowd for the benefit of safety over ones morals (making of the beast) and hiding from what he knows is morally true(the man) fits like glove.

the man becomes beast for payment of safety to distract/replace the pain of not being morally correct and true to himself

simply being a beast and being safe pays the better sum in the end.

Samuel Johnson's stand on drunkenness is beside the point, imo.

its much like how people drink to forget the reality of a situation.
the payment soothes the morals being neglected or the pain of being human and knowing right from wrong

Enforcing our adopted principles thru entrapment is morally defensible because the Supreme Court of the U.S deems it proper. Now the question is whether dishonesty counters an ethical commitment to be truthful.

I don't care what any court or bible deems moral and right, it is my own values and moral beliefs that mean anything. I know that some individuals lack any

moral integrity but I am not speaking of these people. Those that know right and wrong and stand aside and watch wrong doing being done are those that

should be prosecuted and judged. I don't believe entrapment to be morally right or acceptable.

pretty much every single word applies to a force, or an energy.

love, refers to the energy of love,

mindfulness, refers to the energy of mindfulness,

a hammer, refers to the energy of hammer

anger, refers to the energy that is anger,

hope, refers to the energy that is hope,

and each of these energies can also be said to be a force,

words themselves are a force, have a certain force,

thoughts, as well, have a certain force, and to forget this is really problematic.

so like on the topic of resistance on a another thread ---

Resistance simply applies to an energy -- the

same as Jake refers to the energy of Jake,

or God refers to the energy of God.

God and the energy of God are one.

Jake and the energy of Jake are one.

Same thing with everything.

A hammer and the energy of a hammer are one.

It's strange, but everything is infinite.

Love = Resistance to War.

Don't let anyone confuse you.

Ram dass once famously wrote along the lines of Love=Awareness=Consciousness=

and the last one could just as easily have been Resistance to War,

words are just words, they have the meaning we assign to them.

they also do have symbolic and deep power, and so i do not use certain words. . .

same as the rastas, this is a deep power, deep wisdom,

i am not going to start using a bad word as a good, not calling a bad thing a good thing.

heh, heh.  it's really super deep.

like really. deeper than that.

good luck now :smile:  there is only one infinite garden haha, are you there, seen?

I am unconditionally friendly to everyone, I like all and have no time to dislike. Therefore I'm on anyone and everyone's side, willing to help, either because I was born this way or because I continually took life as a challenge and evolved.

I follow the Castaneda notion -

"An average man is too concerned with liking people or with being liked himself. A warrior likes, that's all. He likes whatever or whomever he wants, for the hell of it."

I guess you can have fun with her and be a bit provocative if you want, sort of mock her without being serious, you know, depending on how you are feeling... I'm not advocating being too much of a dork, or you can subtly sort of make it obvious she's being a bitch by not responding negatively and showing the void between how you are feeling good and she's got the wrong idea. :justdontknow:

wonderful answer;

and in reply to that - there's a ton of factors; a subject as vast as any. .

ram dass' solution (as with thay) is probably best (and same as taoist; lao-tzu, lieh-tzu, etc.) essentially; be peace, allow others the space to be who they wish to be, without any projection or rejection or what have you; that's a simple way but most effective. . .

also i have noticed lately, yesterday, and today knew a little more, how the aspect of laughter and play is - this is alone the whole path, nearly essentially,

it is this which the other animal do; and i do know they know how to take care of earth;

it's the dance within the waterfall, simply joy and laughter, playfulness and spontaneity;

really appreciated your bright, and true words, circastes :smile:
