Hypothetical Oyster Sawdust Logs

I've been trying to grow golden oysters in my area for longer than I'd like to admit. My last attempt to grow failed most likely because the BRF cakes were too small and somehow fruit flies got to the cake. Right now I'm trying to decide what the easiest way for me to get fruits is at this point. I'm leaning toward making a single large sawdust log at the moment since straw hasn't worked for me in the past but I want to know if there are other options for me out there before I go and buy a bag of wood pellets. Does anyone have any suggestions or sawdust teks that have worked for them in the past?
Thanks!

this was sawdust, shit fruiting conditions indoors but sawdust works well for oysters. they grow on trees. outdoor grows if you use too much easy to get at grain spawn things will just eat it up.

Ill look for the link.
I've had problems with straw as well. But with my buckets I have found success with wood chips. Since I started using them, I'm sold on the method.

Nice fruits. I'm hoping to pour a little money into making an indoor greenhouse with cooling and humidification as during fullblown summer it easily get up to 110F at noon with a RH of <20 so indoor growing is a must for me.

Thanks for the link! As often as I use the search It's really easy to miss great stuff. I was considering using a 5 gallon plastic bucket (as they're pretty cheap and reusable). So far the only downside to them I can think of is not being able to see contams from the outside, but that won't be an issue if I do everything correctly.
