complicated 1st time bulk question, yes I've searched and read, LOL

OK so done brf grows a few times with good success, now want to try bulk in a modified Monotub. going to use small CPU fans with filters between fan and tub pulling air out at the top. thinking it will improve FAE. they are variable speed to help control temp and RH. when i get all my components ill post a step by step pic just for fun.
going to use a 5 grain spawn. and a casing from http://midwestgrowkits.com/spawn-bags.html (hope its OK to post this link)
ordering because i don't have a PC. and the supplies I've gotten from them were good before. but any way.....lol
first: i was wondering, if i get 2 of the 5 grain spawn bags, colonize them fully, get 2 casing bags, and mix the casing with some pasteurized wbs ( pillow case and boiling water style), mixed in the fully colonized 5 grain, then covered the top with an even layer of 50/50 Coir/verm. would it give it more nutrients to feed or if i get spore drop, to colonize, while the coir/verm acted as a contaminant barrier? or am i just asking for trouble?
second: if i use a spawn bag like what that place sells, after full colonization, and i crumble it up a bit. should i open a small hole in the top of the bag and soak it all down for 24 hrs before i mix with my casing?
and finally: i see mixed info, if i use a casing like the above, should i also use a coir/verm/coffee top layer? or just skip their casing altogether and use the coir/verm/coffee as my casing?
I've been reading a searching and reading but get alot of mixed info, i know i will on this post to but at least it will be easier to follow, lol

I stopped reading at "modified monotub."
Stop trying to innovate. Follow the TEKs until you know what you're doing.

At least get a mono under your belt before trying to reinvent the wheel.

Save the money that you'd spend on pre-made bags from that place and spend it on a Presto 23qt pressure cooker, and some canning jars from your local grocery. Then, for a fraction of the cost of those pre-mades, you can make a lot more of your own.
The pre-made materials you're talking about there will cost you over $60, and it's a one-and-done deal. A Presto 23qt is about $80, a dozen quart jars is $20, and the grains, vermiculite, coir, syringe, and a tub might round out your investment to $150 bucks; after which you'll have the materials and only need to purchase the consumables in the future. Meanwhile, 2 rounds of buying this pre-made stuff and the materials investment for growing, and you're already over that amount.

just read that every one used an oscillating fan near their tub to promote FAE, figured 4 small processor fans mounted on the sides of the tub at the top to pull the air out would circulate the air drawing it in from the lower holes. not trying to reinvent anything just thinking smaller package, same results.
so, OK don't try anything other than what i read gotcha.
now as for the other 2 questions.
ok. thnx Clifton

i can see how the air flow is uneven and promoting uneven growth, thats why the corner by the fan is larger, which is why i was looking into smaller fans higher up and 4 of them located where the 4 holes are normally located in a mono, you don' have to post negative, or smartass answers, if i fuck up my tub so be it. im not asking about my tub. i asked 3 questions. if you cant get past the tub to give feedback on the questions asked dont waste anyones time just piss off. easy peasy. amazing that out of 4 ppl posting only 1 had anything worth a damn to say.

i dont disagree with you Loc. thats why i asked my questions. and also why i used the mono for the last 2 18 jar brf's i did. i get how a mono works. i've followed teks. and had great success, for that im greatful. but damn dont knock a guy for thinking outside the tub, lol

the reason i was asking Ghatti is from reading: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/17447797/fpart/all/vc/1
and: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/13755958
others and getting conflicting info. lol
which is why i was wondering about doing a mix but using a coir/verm/coffee top layer as a contamination barrier.
found the link: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/12729833
and ty i figured as much with my first question but hey it was a shitty idea, but idea none the less.

ok. so should i soak it to hydrate the grain after full colonization, before i tub it? or just tub it and let the casing hydrate it? i had really good results dunking my cakes at birthing before i placed them in my fruiting chamber. but i do realize bulk is a different beast and that grain is totally different than BRF.

If it takes a long time to colonize you can soak it but its not going to make a world of difference

If you bring your substrate to field capacity before you spawn it will have plenty of moisture for at the least your first flush...then after that you can dunk it or just mist heavily...

I dunno if he's using substrate. All I saw him say really was a grain bag and a casing bag

Then why are you posting that it's your first time doing bulk? And obviously you don't get monotubs or you wouldn't be asking ridiculous questions.

gotcha, should colonize fast enough not to lose enough moisture anyway. cool.
as far as sub, do you have a recommendation, not alot of options locally, which is why i was looking at ordering online, but i do have some verm already, i do drink coffee, and can get coir.
would the perlite i have left do anything at all to help retain any moisture or should i just keep it put up for if i do anymore jars? i know i haven't seen any in a tek..... but just kinda wast not, blah blah...lol
but would you recommend a different sub?
and thanks for the positive information.
