Jetpacks will never work in real lofe, no fuel source can lift the weight of the fuel, the device, and the person. The heavier the item the more fuel you need, which requires more fuel adding weight, etc.
Aaaand i just totally jumped the gun because no one said anything about real life jetpacks, but i still feel like this point is worth making.

Reality be damned. I want my nuke powered flying armour with explosion legs.
While I was okay with the novelty of the the jetpack, was disappointed by the lack of real flying simply because of how they showed it in the loading screens:

But kind of feel that the way it works in game makes sense in the context of the universe it is in. Think that fully functioning jetpacks would change some of the tone of the game from a wasteland to simply more futuristic. Kind of think of technology in the Fallout universe as the equivalent of magic in fantasy universes; since tech is at such a premium in the wasteland, the most skilled scientists are like the wizards, but the upper limits on what can be accomplished are capped to keep from reflecting on a tech utopia. If that...made any sense outside my head I may be impressed.

Maybe once GECKS is out we'll get full on Iron Man suits with the physics to match.

Given that Skyrim had potions that could cause my character to sprout dragon wings and spells to fly around, it is almost a certainty.
Today I "learned how to" retexture gear.

Need to go back and fix it up a bit, because the flag pattern bends and widens a bit funny when it wraps around the headband mesh.
Still feel pretty satisfied for my first attempt at reskinning something though.

Still not perfect, but as good as I can get for now.

Wearing the bandanna is Synthetic Intelligence and Reconnaissance Organism for Nuclear Atmospheres or S.I.R.O.N.A. for short. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sirona
Sent from Montréal to assess the state of civilization beyond the island, she may just be the character I utilize as an available companion/quest npc to send players to Montréal for my mod. Or, at very least, that is where she is likely getting written in for the story, if I can even muster the skill and focus to pull it off.

I would love to see a metal gear skin mod happen.
Ok I've put it off long enough, gonna post some screencaps of my power army tomorrow.

Would be up for seeing someone porting the entire Sahelanthropus that I can turn into a robotic Settlement guard/command to follow me.

Also, think this is all I am going to do with my retexture for now. Some of the ways the mesh bends are driving me mad, but it looks passable.

Just giv her a bandanna and its all good. Yeah i hadn't even thought of sahelanthropus, maybe retexture liberty prime as sally would be dope.
And a d walker power armor and reskin dogmeat as dd, then you could go and change the languages and make it so until you get a companion with a new translator perk you can't understand them.
Or.i could just keep playing metal gear.

Minor spoilers for my Montréal plans was actually already thinking of utilizing something like this, and having clearly defined French speaking and English speaking factions to choose between helping.
Would like to find a way to set it up so that players who are fluent in French or both have the option of having their character reflect that though. Have not decided how, maybe a perk, but more likely just an option at some point, maybe in the initial dialogue with Sirona.
Phantom Pain was great though. Source of inspiration, enjoyable to play, and even my therapist argued that my time playing it had benefit in dealing with my condition.
My DDog became a DDoge once I unlocked it though.

After much debate I decided to side with the Institute. Not based on morals or anything about the story line but on the rewards that come with it. I got far enough with the Railroad to get ballistic weave so they were done with. I stayed with BOS long enough to get a special gun and helmet. Once I got those I chose Institute for the finally so I can get the power armor paint.
Check out this bug I have going on right now:

I fast traveled to the castle and they were in the middle of a battle. All of my settlers & turrets as well as a team of Minute Men were all firing towards a single BOS knight perched on top of the radio tower. I can't kill or talk to him. Hopefully it'll resolve itself once I leave again. (this is on PS4 btw)

Have an Institute character, but she in Endurance built and basically never uses Power Armour -- what does the Institute paint job give again, is it +Int?
Judging by your picture the Brotherhood are the real powerhouses in your game though. If it is not sorted out by traveling, think it will likely get sorted out by the finale.

I think you guys play this game in an entirely different way compared to what I'm doing. Sounds like you guys are flying through it getting the most enjoyment out of mods and using multiple playthroughs for different specials. I'm over here rockin the vanilla PS4 version finding every single item/location I can. I can't imagine playing this shit multiple times and starting all over.

Well, out of 387 hours on my steam, a little over 168 is invested into a single/most progressed character. Hit something like 220 hours before I got more heavily into the modding.
Have already done the locations, special items, comics and magazines, all bobbleheads (now in vault-girl edition!)

Have not really rushed anything, just have a lot of opportunity to play, and there is not a ton of content in the vanilla game.
Do personally prefer role-playing multiple characters rather than making a single godlike high level character though. Since I have multiple characters with multiple personalities, I take different combinations of questlines. If a faction does not make sense for a particular character to join, or a quest is not the type of thing she would do, then I do not do so.
Where you can't imagine playing things multiple times, I have trouble imagining playing everything on a single character. It makes my characters feel bland.
That is where I love Bethesda games though, rich diversity and big open worlds to explore right from starting levels -- not a fan of the late-game on a do-everything run, but have a playstyle well suited to how I enjoy doing things, and learned how to get the most out of their games for me.
If you want to be the walking god that has done everything though, go nuts.

Nah that's pretty much just SweetLeaf. Most of the rest seem to of only done one playthrough so far. I have plans to do a second with a specific build, but my first playthrough is pretty much what you're doing. Although I stopped really exploring and shit. I don't really see a need to anymore. I have the best weapons and armor and I have more caps than I'll ever use. I don't really care about bobbleheads or the mags. I don't really care to find more sidequests, if there are any left there is very few of them left, I basically did side quests and looting for the first month or two and only started doing the actual main quest after that.
I've never done a specific build on any Bethesda game, all of my characters always tend to be the same more or less.

So the guy who made the B-90 armor finally updated it for the vanilla female body -- still waiting to see if a CBBE bodyslide file goes up.
He has included some other changes, such as multiple helmet options (default or enclosed face), alternate paint, and three different variants of the jetpack/wings on the back.
Think he intends to make the jetpack functional in the future, not 100% certain.

Also picked up Diamond Dogs hats just for fun

And someone put up some nice custom sunglasses with Rad-Ban Eyewear Inc. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8342/?
Two different types of frames, each comes in multiple colours, here are a few.

And just for fun, Tantrika as an action hero

Is this thread dying? Too soon!
Just got this really cool mod, CROSS pre-war cybernetics: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8609/?
Got my new guy lookin like a cyborg finally. Forgive the kinda fuxed up ENB setting im too lazy to change.

The other apparel mods by the same author are choice as well.
Also, hey Samadhi, you were using vanilla ENB right? When I was using that, the institute was so extremely bright it was basically pure white in spots, couldnt see shit. Did you notice the same?
Its a shame cause I love it everywhere else but its basically unplayable in there.

Why is it that when I make a new concrete foundation it looks drab like rain has been on it for decades? New concrete, from bags of cement (yeah)
The wasteland needs a lick of paint. So far I'm running with verdant wasteland http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/7479/? because it's more than 200 years since the bombs fell. Hiroshima doesn't look like a shithole today and if you look at say, Hiroshima ( https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Hiroshima,+Hiroshima+Prefecture,+Japan/@34.3992157,132.4773881,3a,75y,257.07h,79.7t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1sTprzZwO1Y_KwWkuH9nX1-g!2e0!6s%2F%2Fgeo2.ggpht.com%2Fcbk%3Fpanoid%3DTprzZwO1Y_KwWkuH9nX1-g%26output%3Dthumbnail%26cb_client%3Dmaps_sv.tactile.gps%26thumb%3D2%26w%3D203%26h%3D100%26yaw%3D54.319267%26pitch%3D0!7i13312!8i6656!4m2!3m1!1s0x355a9908eef34fbb:0x7e4ce50cfc1f772!6m1!1e1 ) You can see that there's actual green stuff that's not glowing ghouls. And that was a midair blast, maximum spread.

Yeah, it was pretty brutal in the Institute. It blows out in a couple of the hospitals and ArcJet as well, but it's not as unplayable there.
Was just toggling my enb off in the Institute for a while, but then I got the Black Institute retexture and it looks great without the white walls reflecting everything. Vanilla Institute reminded me of the cold sterility of a hospital; Black Institute feels like wandering around in some high-priced office building.
Have been playing around with retexturing CROSS's Uni Scarf

If you see me after the apocalypse, don't sneak up on me, I'll likely be hopped up on Jet.
