60 Charisma on the LSD
Combine that with the slow time effect and I picture my character babbling so quickly and incoherently that NPCs can't help but just smile and nod.

The Open Carry is a solid idea though -- guards that are actual guards.

Pulling in the 4k reskin of the double barrel shotgun at the moment:

it might be a little too snazzy for general play in the Wasteland, but I wanted to at least give it a chance since it looks really well done.

Anyone aware of a mod that lowers the radio when people talk to you? I looked, I didn't find anything. I like listening to (custom) music while out exploring but hate missing dialog. I know I can just turn it down low but was hoping for a better option.

Couple more mods that went up recently.

First one is simply because I posted the Cat cannon, not as great or unique but hey why not complete the set?
http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/5546/?

Second one I'm going to keep my eye on for now and eye for a next play through. Author talks like he may expand it as well.
The Running Dead Adds more ghoul spawns. Settlements and interiors are supposed to be left alone, and he says there weren't many places he could find in the wildneress, but in cities it should greatly increase the number of ghouls you encounter. I hate ghouls but I'm never as into the game as when I know there's 10-20 of them around waiting to jump out at me at any time.

My complaint about companions is similar, but also a little different.
Feel like only roaming around with one companion is what makes it too easy.
If the system had us traveling in a sort of 'party,' companion personalities would feel more meaningful.
In Dragon Age, if I chose an action it could greatly please one of my companions while simultaneously pissing off another; I could mediate discussions and arguments between my party members, and they would respond differently to me based on who I was supportive of.

Turning down the rate of generation for affinity would be an easy enough tweak, but to have full multi-person parties is going to take something like Skyrim's Advanced Follower Tweaks mod.
Skyrim was a totally different game with Serena, Lydia, Vigilance and a rotating roster of custom followers off the Nexus following me everywhere, and it didn't even have companions with feelings.

Yeah, I would definitely love it to be a far deeper more complex system with their interactions.  I just assumed that the companions were sort of an afterthought for this like they were for skyrim or fallout 3 so I didn't set my expectations to high.  The only multi-companion interaction you get in F4 is when switching between companions and the 2 might say something to each other or comment about the other as your switching.  It surely would be a grand improvement to have a fully fleshed out system like dragon Age. I'm sure modding will alter it when we get to that point.

On a side note because I don't remember if I posted this last night or not.  Bethesda opened a new studio in Montreal.  They say that the core team of 40 devs has already been setup and running, but PC Gamer did some digging and found job postings for the site and one of the blurbs in the job posting was to take part in a new bleeding edge PC RPG.  Here is a link to the pc gamer article on it.  Not much more there then I stated but in case you want the full deets and exact quote...

I do with a lot of games, but since oblivion I have not been that way with bethesda games for some reason and I dont know why.  I did get side tracked with Fallout 3 where I took like a 6 month break from it (still had not completed it at this point) because other games came out I was really into, but then I went back and finished EVERYTHING.  I was playing on xbox 360 so I spent the time getting every achievement and what not as well.  With steam games I have a harder time caring about the achievements for some reason, but I bet F4 will be the exception to that rule once I finish most of the non-radiant quests.

Had more issues with actually finishing games years ago -- the vast majority of games from my console days I would stop bothering with part way through and fire up something new.
Now a lot of that is also mitigated by inability to afford so many games.  Have gotten something like 5 new games over the past 3 years; if I don't finish them out I don't have much other option to work with.

Man, if steam ever allows it so people can give other steam users games out of their library, I'll give you a shit ton of games.  I make decent money and dont really spend it on anything anymore except bills and the occasional video game.  My GF does most of the money spending ;/  Regardless, I have 12903582u459248249 games in my steam library that I got on a summer sale or picked up when they got cheaper becuase I had read a review about how god it was months earlier, but then never get around to playing most of them.  I hate it and keep telling myself EVENTUALLY I will get around to it.  But hey, if they start allowing me to give / trade games from libraries, I'll have a shit ton you can 'borrow' for as many years as you want. heheh.

That is the one thing I really miss about games being on discs and such.  The ability to give/trade/share with friends.  If I bought a 360 title that wasn't really my style, I most likely had a friend who loved it that I could gift it to, or trade or long term lend.

Please spoiler it if you do. I don't want to know.

I lived for years not knowing FO4 was coming. Actually I lived with the knowledge that it WASN'T coming. Years ago there was talk of FO4 I think, and the news at the time was it wasn't happening. Finding out just months before release it was coming, was amazing. No years of anticipation. I'd like to be kept in the dark as long as possible.

I really do look forward to the next TES though. I think I spent more time in Skyrim than I've spent in all the TES/FO games combined. I didn't even mod it.

I didn't have DLC or anything (don't even know if there was any) so keep that in mind for this question. Is it just me or did Skyrim have like 10x the quests to explore that FO4 does? I honestly don't know if it had significantly more or I just incorrectly remember it having more.

I'm starting to see that also, but I also was avoiding the main storyline so I know that has a lot to do with it.  Also I just discovered the railroad and they have a chunk of quests all their own to be done that are not part of the main quest.  I imagine every faction has that.  It does seem like skyrim had more quests overall though, but I imagine thats partly due to the fact that skyrim had a lot more cities, and each city had a nice chunk of quests, where as fallout 4 only has a few 'city' locations and dont have nearly the number of quest givers in them.

You might also want to check the map and REALLLLLLLYYYY explore all the spots in between your disocvered locations.  I'm finding there are lots of blank spots that dont have map markers, but end up having NPCs that give quests, or have stuff to do or trigger.  I've come across quite a few houses that were load screen locations, but no map markers, and inside they had sort of a mini story of what took place there, but it wasn't an actual quest or anything.  One I just recently did has a progression of holotapes and this woman is documenting an experiment she is doing to try to cure some disease, but over time she gets sicker and sicker and finally realizes she is going to die.  Near the end of the house is a legendary glowing one I can only assume is supposed to be her.  They seem to have done a LOT of stuff like this in F4 where as in skyrim they would have considered this to be an actual quest, so that might have something to do with the feeling of there being less.

Here is a semi-complete list of quests in the game:

http://www.vg247.com/2015/11/07/fallout-4-main-story-and-side-quest-checklist/

no spoilers really just quest names and which faction.  I think there are still far more quests then this even lists but this will give youa quick idea.

*edit*

of course right after I posted this, unable to find more info at the time, I come across this..

General informationEdit
Mbox stub
Section needed
This section is needed but has not been written yet. You can help Nukapedia by writing it.
There are a total of 140 quests, of which:

13 are from the Main quests
34 are Non Faction Side quests
22 are from the Brotherhood of Steel
26 are from The Minutemen
21 are from The Railroad
24 are from The Institute
4 are from Companions

244 quests in skyrim, counting the radiant quests as 1.  I dont know if the fallout list counted the radiant quests as 1 or at all.

Worst enemy I've came across yet: Glowing Deathclaw. Rocket to the face barely took anything off of it. All my "oh shit this thing won't die" weapons were barely doing anything to it. I dunno if they are supposed to have increased movement speed but he seemed to be running twice as fast as any normal deathclaw does, and he was FAR more aggressive, especially with the throwing me around like a doll aspect. Probably a good thing I've taken to exploring lately in power armor.

I'm playing on Survival mode with a rebalance mod that doesn't change my damage from normal mode but keeps enemy damage at double, and I haven't found anything that super strong yet. Maybe I need to spend more time in the glowing sea.

Was it even legendary?

I don't on this character, hence my willingness to trade.
Specced for pistols.

Have also just decided that there are significant merits to having a settlement to store Power Armor at where no settlers live.

Just had my first ever raider attack at Sanctuary, and Trashcan Carla stole my main suit of Power Armor then wouldn't get out.

Don't think so. Pretty sure it just said glowing. Even the queen mirelurks aren't that difficult to kill. I dunno if it was a fluke or what.
