Do the same thing.

It is almost mind boggling how quickly the mod database for Fallout 4 has been expanding.
Watched it do a slow climb past all the non-Bethesda titles on the Nexus, then pick up more steam and spring past Morrowind.
The gap between here and Fallout 3 is more substantial, but the G.E.C.K. is not even out yet, and the mods just keep popping up. :awesomenod:

Quite a few of them are just cosmetic things. The ones that aren't readily apparent:
Stayback = knock down bonus for shotguns
homemaker/settlements expanded = More stuff to build with in settlements
mainfiles = BoS jumpsuit reskin
no ap cost is for the flight on power armor (I think it's retarded they put an AP cost on it..)
Radio folder = add your own music

The links are all stuff I either intend to get later or am waiting for some feature that hasn't been added yet.

Also in case you're curious what skimpy black armor and black synth harness (and the underwear mod) do:

Underwear mod only because it showed, and the nasty underwear everyone wears as default really destroyed the look.

I actually thought about giving you a heads up but as you're the person that was keeping me up to date on mods, I figured you'd of found it already. I haven't gotten around to installing it yet and probably won't til my next play through. Noted though, if I come across anything else that's obviously up your alley I'll let you know. I know a lot of your interests ranging from shooting cats at people to radiation actually being an issue. A little bit of a masochist in you as well.

No wonder everyone's already finishing all the stuff. I just looked up how many main story quests there actually are. That's kinda disappointing. I'm on the verge of being done with it as well and I've been purposely putting it off and doing factions/side quests. I was hoping for more. I still have no damn idea what faction I want to side with.. The only thing I'm sure of is I'm not supporting The Institute. Minutemen seem to be more or less neutral to the other two. It's obvious BoS and Railroad are not going to get along. Railroad is the "feel good" option, but BoS as enemies scares me .

I'm definitely going with Institute next play through though. I'm going to be a hostile, smart ass assassin who doesn't give a shit about anyone but themselves, kills anyone who gets in their way and answers only to caps.

I have somewhere close to 200 hours on this playthrough though, I guess it's to be expected I'm quickly nearing the end by this point.

Institute gave me such a bad feeling when I did those quests. I just get out of the vault and I have to deal with this existential shit too?? Nah son sorry, Im gonna blow all this shit up lol.

Welcome to the fold!

On another note, I might have to find some sort of settlement therapy group.  I can't seem to say no to those stupid radiant quests or fast traveling every time a settlement goes under attack, or doesnt have enough beds, or, whatever it causing that annoying ! to appear in the workshop menu next to quests.  Its so bad that in a 6 hour play session I will be lucky to complete 1 or 2 actual quests.

At this rate I'll finish the main story in like.. 2 years.

maybe.

I have 24 settlements so far.  6 more to go.

The Minutemen have the most capacity to be a "feel good" option.  They seem to be the only faction that can either make enemies or keep peace with other factions (ie: Brotherhood and Railroad) rather than going into the end-game with multiple enemies, but still have the option to make multiple enemies.

The Railroad felt more ethically grey to me; the freeing Synths aspect has nobility to it, but methods can get a bit sketchy.
Really enjoyed the Railroad questline.  The way the overarching main story narrative went through when tied with their faction line felt pretty satisfying.

Personally felt the Brotherhood line had the most shine to it -- particularly the involvement of Danse in their overarching story was really interesting.

Institute had a great finale, but I didn't feel strongly for their ending overall.

Think that Railroad is supposed to be the protagonist group and Institue the antagonist group, as I think they may be the only two where interaction is mandatory to progressing the main story.  Know that the whole meeting of Minutemen in Concord can be skipped entirely, and think that interaction with the Brotherhood is strictly optional as well.
Be really interesting to me if that is in fact the case, as Steam achievements list Railroad as having the lowest rate of completion still.

I actually don't have much of a problem with that. So far the only attack I've seen on any of my settlements that posed any real threat was one on Spectacle Island. Pretty much just all mirelurkes, including kings. I have a rocket turret up that was blasting them away, but even with that and my help, things got out of hand for a bit. I wish all raids were a struggle like that. Seems to always be just a few raiders or super mutants who never even get into my parameter line, even if there is no fencing or bottle necking. I throw turrets up all over the place. All the settlers at my truck stop (which is also the place that has the most of them currently) are decked out with good weapons (maxed out hunting rifles, assault rifles, combat shotguns, combat rifles)  and full combat armor. All are also strategically placed to make the most of their equipment.

Snipers are on guard posts that no enemy can easily just run to, guard posts near the entrances are stationed with assault rifles and combat shotguns. Everyone else who may or may not be near the action when it starts have combat rifles. I get way too into the settlements thing. It's never been about bare minimum for me. Those places are done up like they actually would be if this were real life. Any raid would need to be some navy SEALs like incursion with coordinated assaults on strategic points and targets to even stand a chance.

Which gives me an idea for a mod I'd REALLY like to see. More intelligent raids with much higher numbers and walls that can be blown up/destroyed as well as real roles of the attackers, rather than the skirmishers running in with the long range assault enemies. Rather than the supposed more defense than food = no go for attackers, defense and food supplies (as well as loot) should dictate how many enemies show up in any given attack and how heavily armed/armored they are. Like Deacon always says: If someone builds defenses like that, they did it for a damn good reason. I don't know if it's really possible to make a mod to those standards, it's kinda reaching, I know. That would probably involve a lot of complex coding (the whole thing, not just the numbers thing). It would be awesome to see though.

I just met the railroad after realizing that the stupid church door was bugged and thats why I couldn't get in the first time I tried to follow the freedom road.  So I finally went back yesterday and it worked and met them all.  I did the tradecraft quest and am going to do all the quests I can for each faction until they are all just repeatable or I have nothing left but main quest stuff.  I think I'm going to do the railroad ending first whenever I get around to it.

I've also finally been grabbing companions and doing their little side quests to get their perks, but god damn it is so annoying to have maxed out Lone Wanderer then suddenly lose the benefits. :frown:  Bad enough that I just parked all my normal armor and put on only my charisma bonus clothes, then popped into my power armor and basically do nothing but use it.  So far I still end up coming out AHEAD on cores being as I seem to find more then I use during questing.  And that includes an inane amount of time spent stopping at settlements to fix this problem or that problem.

Not sure about the walls being destroyed aspect, but think that the rest should be feasible.  Skyrim had some pretty involved mods, and the Settlement system seems to make the necessary numbers fairly available for calculations.
Most of it is spawn mechanics and improved AI, which I have seen people complaining about/requesting on forums already.

Really have difficulty motivating myself to do the companion quests on my Lone Wanderer characters yet.
The perks really tempt me, but the heart is not in it.

Have two characters that do run with companions and focus on companion perks instead though.  Want to at least experience the content.

Have an increasing fondness for seeing the different ways that characters respond to me after the story depending on which faction I aligned with.

I'm level 92 now and I still haven't finished off the main story. Running out of things to delay it with though, almost all companions idolize me now. I'm still not 100% sure which faction I want to choose, even after all this.

Just gonna play it over again anyway so it doesn't matter that much.

Breaking down barriers is one of the key aspects I'd like to see. It makes things much more dynamic, realistic and overall, interesting. Right now for the most part, I can just leave a couple of entrances and push my defenses there, and they may as well be entirely blocked off. I mean I know they can spawn inside the walls, but what I want is realism and if this were real life, people wouldn't (probably) just appear in the center of my town somehow. I'd love if they could be destroyed and you had to repair them, but I would settle for ladders or something. Just as long as they're not walking through walls and I can't predict where they may come from.

In some ways this is (or has the potential to be) 2 entirely separate games. When I watched the E3 set and learned we'd be able to build settlements and they would be attacked, I saw the potential immediately. If I knew how to mod, I think I could put out some really great ideas to expand on the settlement aspect. If other people see the potential I do, then settlements could become a full fledged novel and all we have right now is the prologue. Wouldn't be the first time people have turned an otherwise minor aspect of a game into an entire game itself. I just hope people who actually have the know how can let it see it's full potential.

Ripped from PC Gamer article:
http://www.pcgamer.com/fallout-4-cheats-and-console-commands-can-turn-you-into-a-superhero/

Fallout 4 console commands can turn you into a superhero

Ah, the humble tilde button, so useless. Unless, that is, you're playing a Bethesda game built on a variation of the Creation Engine. In that case the humble tilde key (~) unlocks the console, a gateway that lets you mess with the game logic. Give yourself superpowers, spawn weapons and monsters, speed up time and complete the game with one tap of the Enter key.
Simply activate the console in-game, type the command you want, press enter and then close the console again and watch your command take effect. If the tilde button (left of the 1 key) doesn't work, try the apostrophe key. It seems to vary depending on the nationality of your keyboard settings.
Updated December 9, 2015 with more essential commands.
Finding item and NPC IDs
For a lot of these commands, you'll need to know how to get the IDs of items, NPCs, as well as the names of locations and factions. With the console open, clicking on a character or item will show its ID. Additionally, many commands act on the targeted character—so, whoever you clicked on. Sometimes it can be tricky to get the right ID to pop up (it's easy to select yourself accidentally), so using free cam (tfc) can help. You can also look up commands and IDs...
help [item name] [0-4] — Searches items, characters, commands, and more. Use Page Up and Page Down to scroll. 0 searches for everything.
Example: help "attack dog" 0 would let you know that there's an NPC called 'attack dog' with the ID 000B2BF2. Make sure to use quotes when searching for two or more words.
coc qasmoke — This teleports you to a room with a number of boxes that contain every single item in the game. Surreal, but a good way to find item IDs. You can find an item ID by entering the console and clicking on the item in the game world with your mouse. It turns out that Dogmeat's real name is 0001d162.
General commands
tgm — Good old god mode.
tcl — No collision. Walk through walls. Walk into the sky. Be free.
tfc — Activates free camera.
tfc 1 — Same as above, but freezes all animations.
tm — Toggles menus and UI on and off. It even stops you from seeing the console, so you'll have to press tilde and type tm again blind to get the UI back.
csb – Resets blood and damage effects.
fov [first-person FOV] [third-person FOV] — Change the FOV.
set timescale to [insert number here] — Speeds up or slows down time. The default setting is 16. 1 is realtime, 10,000 is crazy spectacular timelapse. Be sure to look when time's on fast forward because the sun and the moon actually bounce across the sky.
coc [cell id] – Teleports the player to an area.
Example: coc RedRocketExt

Character manipulation
showlooksmenu player 1 — Reopens the character customization menu so you can change your look. You'll want to have your character's face centered on screen for this one.
player.setrace [race id] — Change your race (e.g. ghoul, mutant). Find race IDs with the help function, but beware of adverse side effects (most races just make it crash).
Example: player.setrace GhoulRace
player.resethealth — Resets your health.
setgs fJumpHeightMin [insert number here] — Modifies your jump. Set it really high to vault over buildings like the Incredible Hulk. Warning, if you don't turn on god mode, the falling damage from your own jump will kill you.
tdetect — The AI won't detect you anymore. Steal to your heart's content.
player.modav [skill] [number] — Boost a skill by a numerical amount of your choosing. Eg. player.modav strength 10 will boost your strength by ten points. If there's a terminal you'd love to hack or an NPC you'd love to persuade, use this. However, if you want to unlock perks, use the next command.
player.setav [character variable] [number] — Sets a character trait to a new value. Unlike modav, this will unlock perks when you change your stats.
player.setav speedmult [insert number here] — The number you type in adds multiplier to your running speed, with hilarious consequences. Use in combination with god mode and the next command to go full superhero.
player.setlevel [insert number] — Boost your level to the number specified.
player/additem 0000000f [insert number here] — Adds bottlecaps equal to the number you specify.
player/additem 0000000a [insert number here] — Adds bobbypins equal to the number you specify.
player.additem [item ID] [number] — You may have noticed a pattern in the last two commands. Yes, you can add ANY item to your inventory this way as long as you know the item ID (see above for instructions for finding IDs).

NPC manipulation
tai — Turns AI off and causes everyone to stand still with a vacant look on their face.
tcai — Turns combat AI off. Brings peace to the world. Boring, boring peace.
killall — Kills everyone in the vicinity, apart from companions and any other characters deemed too vital to die. In that case they will slump down injured until you give them a stimpack.
kill [insert ID] — Kills the creature with the ID you supply. Type kill (0017fda3) now and wherever they are, the feral ghoul I tested this on will drop dead. Alternatively, click on an NPC with the console open and just type 'kill.'
resurrect [insert ID] — Brings the creature with the ID you supply back to life. Type resurrect (0017fda3) to bring the feral ghoul I tested this on back to life! He's having a torrid day. Alternatively, select a dead NPC with the console open and just type 'resurrect.' If you resurrect a headless NPC, be aware that they're going to remain headless.
recycleactor — Resets a character.
setscale [number from 1 to 10] — Makes you or your target HUGE. See the results in the picture at the top of the article.
sexchange — You'll never guess. Works on whoever is selected, though it may not have good results with unique characters.
getav CA_affinity — Get the affinity level of your current companion.
setav CA_affinity [number] — Sets your companion's affinity level to a number.
modav CA_affinity [number] – Adds a number to your companion's affinity level. Haven't noticed an effect.
unequipall — Unequip all items from the selected NPC.

Faction commands
player.AddToFaction [faction id] [0 or 1] — Become allied with a faction. Alternatively, remove the 'player' prefix and this will affect the targeted NPC. 0 is friendly, 1 is allied.
Example: player.AddToFaction 00028670 1 to become allied with bugs.
player.RemoveFromFaction [faction id] — Remove yourself from a faction. Alternatively, remove the 'player' prefix and this will affect the targeted NPC.
removefromallfactions — Removes the target from all factions.
setally [faction id] [faction id] [0 or 1] [0 or 1] — Make two factions friendly (0) or allied (1).
setenemy [faction id] [faction id] [0 or 1] [0 or 1] —Make two factions neutral (0) or enemies (1).

Quests
completeallobjectives [Quest ID] — Complete all current objectives in a quest.
resetquest [Quest ID] – Reset a quest.
completequest [Quest ID] — Complete a quest.
caqs — This completes every step of the primary quest, effectively completing the game for you. WARNING: Don't use it if you want to avoid spoiling the entire game for yourself.
