If you only have half the bobbleheads then you surely missed sidequests as they tend to be in the areas you go to as part of a side quest.  The minutemen stuff is part of the radiant quest system like skyrim had where they just keep on auto generating.  Getting a bobblehead for one of those would just be a random chance thing, but the scripted set side quests are how you would normally come across one.

Unless you just missed half of them doing your questing which I guess is possible but most of the bobbleheads are usually in the open near the end of a dungeon zone (when I say dungeon I just mean that questing area, whether its a house, tech facility or underground lair..)

Also, all the companions (mostly) have quests associated with them that they will give you once you spend some time traveling with em and you raise your affinity level with em so they like you better.

I do wish they didnt give out XP for settlement building and crafting to such a heavy scale though, I'm level 42 and I know I've barely touched the total number of quests and what not in the game.  It seems every time I get a new settlement I just build a super fast 2x2 or 3x3 house with a buncha beds, a small generator and maybe some water or food and I end up dinging a level again. even worse if I actually spend time trying to make a settlement halfway decent.

I'm curious about the Drinkin' Buddy robot, did the quest mark as completed when you chose to keep him?
I ended up sending him to the bar to have it marked as completed because if I kept him the quest remained open like I still had to finish it, I hate shit like that.

The quest stays open as an option to finish in case you decide to return him later.  It kind of annoys me to, but for me its because of the way his dialogue works.  The option to get out of a conversation is B on my controller, but that option is replaced with "Ive sold you to a bar in goodneighbor" or whatever so the only way I can get out of conversation with buddy is to ask for a beer, then close the trade window.

I mean I kinda get why they did it, in case you accidentally took him or you decide afterwards you dont want him hanging around getting in the way or whatever, but they need to include an option to REALLLLLLY choose to keep him to finish the quest out.

Yeah, the quest doesn't get marked as completed and no EXP is provided.

The game basically lets you decide between free beer or exp.

Can cancel any conversation by simply walking away from the person though; frequently use it to move away from someone and swap into my Charisma gear mid-conversation if a check comes up.
Figure the person watching my character strip down then get dressed into something nicer loosens up their tongue a bit.
:pantytail:

Yeah I do the turn away and change gear thing for persuasion checks and stuff too, but when you just walk away from a conversation sometimes you can get 'stuck' in that conversation with that character preventing you from starting a convo with another npc until you go back to the original and actually get completely out of it.  I've had it happen and linger for some time and some distance before, making it a bitch to buy and sell stuff at my other vendors.

My goal is to get all 20 bobbleheads on my first character and at this point I'm going to look online for the other bobblehead locations. I'm sure there's a couple I've missed but yeah there has to be some in little side areas of the map. I remember finding the agi bobblehead on some random ship on the shore. The ss wreck near the bottom of the map.

So I've been using modpos console command all day long redoing my truck stop base. Makes a huge difference in what you can do and how neat you can get things. Around the entire parameter is a concrete wall with only two openings. No ugly ass funky gaps because you can just bury the wall piece in the ground as deep or shallow as you need to. I'll post pics once I've got it all settled and I'm happy with it. So far I've only done that, rebuilt the communal house but it only has beds currently (but it has a rooftop garden) ontop of the gas station and my sniper tower that is faced towards the road and woods behind the road which is where enemies seem to come from. :crankey: The damn settlers won't use the stairs to go to their beds or anything. They're either doing their job or just standing on the bottom few steps or standing around in groups doing nothing. Haven't assigned anyone the rooftop garden job yet but have a feeling that is going to pose problems as well.

Anyways I found something fun to do since these fuckers obviously have a fear of heights. "modpos z 4000" which basically moves them to about I guess 10 stories high where they immediately drop and splat on the ground. They don't die, just bitch about their leg. I was testing to see if I could use that to get this bitch up in her sniper perch.

I don't understand how to get brahim to my feed trough for fertilizer. I've had one forever and none have shown up. Is there a trick to it?

And holy fuck... I went to the glowing sea for a quest and ran into 3 LEGENDARY DEATH CLAWS... WHAT THE FUCK!?

I killed two of them and all of the sudden another one came out of nowhere, jesus Christ... he almost killed me before I could save. I used like 150 shotgun shells

I've been saving them for something like this... but holy hell... I had to spam healing supplies and my strong ass shotty to take these suckers out. I tried crippling their legs but wasn't happenin with 2 chasing me at once

Just hope you find the explosive combat shotgun. That thing is fucking insane. If you've ever played BF3 or BF4 and used the USAS12 with explosive rounds and just watched people fall instantly to splash damage, it's pretty much the same thing. Shotgun shells are the only ammo these days I really have any issue of keeping up with. When I get tired of fucking with people or just get bored, I start blowing everything to pieces. I have an explosive tommy gun too, that is almost as much fun.

The brahamin just kinda show up on their own. I never put out feed troughs and my settlements always get them. Usually happens once the settlement has been growing pretty good for awhile from what I can tell, but it is random and I've had some show up while I'm placing turrets and clearing out the junk in a brand new settlement.

I don't remember where it came from. Not all of them come from legendary enemies. The tommy gun for example I bought from a traveling trade caravan. Normally I never buy weapons but I wasn't missing out on that. Most of my special weapons/armor are stored and I won't be using them. I have a pretty specific play style and it makes the majority of those things worthless for me.

And yes it's insane, I think it says it only adds like 25 explosive damage but it seems a lot more than that. I often end up putting one too many rounds into the enemy and blowing them into pieces. It's like bloody mess without the perk almost. I think all the different special attributes can be found on any weapon and some of them are just random while others aren't (like guns you get off certain enemies that are part of a quest and the gun is named after them). Mighty and 2 shot are two more good specials for guns. I have a Mighty combat rifle which is 25% more damage (and the combat rifle fully upgraded can be pretty damn strong as is) and I have a 2 shot 10mm. It's like firing two bullets at once. There's no animation for it and it doesn't cost you any extra ammo. Hoping after GECKS or something, a mod for the double shot animation will come out. Maybe even modifier for recoil as well.

I'm having too much fun playing with console damnit, I knew I should've refused to do it at all. Oh well, at least I'm not using it to obtain weapons or gear or something.

I gave my truck stop a pet. Need to see if I can figure out a way to make him stay in his pen, once I slept he was out roaming around again.

I've been exploring down in that area ever since i finished the story off. I was near the bottom of the map when i saw a large pyramid, i figured it was just a poorly rendered piece of highway that was out of bounds, but holy fuck, I've found at least 6 locations that are out of the marked boundary on the map. This game just continues to amaze me. The pyramid is a massive missile silo type laboratory.

Idk when i wanna make a new character. I'm anxious to see the other endings. (I hear liberty prime has a cameo in one of faction endings) but at the same time i wanna at least have one character with all perks unlocked.

In two of them, actually -- with very different presence and roles. :cookiemonster:

My first character is just shy of 70; think I would be feeling burnt out if I tried for all the perks in one go.
She will get them all eventually, but that is a ton of leveling to be done just off of the radiant quests.

Finally caved in and updated to the new Nexus Mod Manager instead of holding out my waiting on Mod Organizer.

Mainly graphical mods for now; planning to get a bunch of the Settlement mods after my 4th character is done with the Brotherhood storyline.

Not 100% sure about this, but things I have read on other forums suggest that Brahmins show up when a settlement is producing excess food and water over what it needs.

Have not played around with it to confirm though; Brahmins just show up at some of my settlements and not others.

The trough is more to keep them in one place, otherwise they wander all around the settlement, including through buildings and other illogical pathing choices.
