Sure thing:

Island just east of the castle, can't miss it.

The whole underwater world is only visible when I glitch the camera, but it looks super surreal when I do.

Awesome, thanks. I can't believe I didn't notice a huge island so close to my main settlement lol

The game has great facial movement  and body language animation.  I walked into diamond city for the first time and saw the exchange with the reporter woman was like whoa man

 Look at that, a time I'm glad someone spoiled it for me. I'm about to head there. That is exactly the type of place I've wanted to find for a long time now. Just clean land I can build however I want.

kind of annoying how big the game is but very little to do.  Like the vaults i get turned around in, trying to clear them, so i spend all that time making sure i talked to everyone, checked every room, get lost a few times....then basically realize going into the vault was 100% waste of time and cost me 3 fusion cores ontop of it:haha:

so now im basically considering just destroying them all :minigun:

I'm curious, is there anything you even like about the game? Seems like every time you post here, it's just to complain about some aspect of the game.

maybe you should go back and reread all my posts in here first before making such an ignorant comment.  The more people play the more they will see good things and bad things, and one of the bad things is the worlds a bit too roomy with not enough meaningful content.  The good things mostly arn't worth mentioning or already have been, hence why nobody else is mentioning anything either....except spoilers which is ironically when they find real content not the filler crap.  i mean if i wasn't right, you'd have a good reason to cry about it.  That vault had like 20 rooms, only around 4 people with dialogue, basically all a waste of time unless you count finding a merchant exciting, or a drug addict.

the point gets driven home when half the settlements have almost the exact same dialogue and quest, its just lame filler

Your posts have about as much content as one of these settlement quests :dogyawn:

Have actually been avoiding posting too much about a number of things I have enjoyed, specifically because I don't want to spoil things for people.
In that regard, the good things are good enough that they are worth not mentioning yet.

Overall, my view of the game has improved since launch.  There have been negatives, but they have been less significant and increasingly mitigated as my exposure to the game broadens.

Find myself periodically checking Steam's achievement completion rates to get some perspective.
The majority of Steam users are not even level 25 yet, meanwhile my main is 53 and my alts are both 30+. I may have a problem.

Is anyone aware of a mod that removes the ceiling build height? Or one that removes the restriction on how many settlers you can have in one settlement? I'd like to build a huge sky scraper apartment building and have enough people to actually fill it up. I got to that island and did some looking around before I came up against the big bad enemy of that place. It's a lot bigger than it looks in pictures, it would be the perfect place to build what I mentioned above. Plenty of water access (because it's an island lol) and plenty of room to grow enough food to support such a place.

Yeah, had to zoom the camera way out to fit the island into the frame, and then that ironically kind of lost the perspective on just how large it actually is.
It also has a ridiculous amount of junk in/underwater, which is great for building up resources from scrap, but sucks for having to go and break down to make space on the size bar.

No advice from me for the mods though

Despite all my love of modding, have not actually installed a single one yet -- Mod Organizer spoiled me, and now I don't want to start adding mods until it has been updated for support.

I tried looking myself but I've never modded a Bethesda game, except Oblivion waaaaaay back when. Either there's nothing like that or I just don't know how to navigate around the mods well enough to find it.

NMM supports Fallout 4 doesn't it?
Not my favorite but better than going in raw.
I've only seen a small handful of appealing mods so far anyway - the craftable ammo namely.

http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1062/?

This one says the increasing build height is a planned feature, but also mentions that some features may have to wait until the Creation Kit comes out.

A couple reddit threads about the topic seem to indicate that the limit may have been put into game to keep from rendering too much of the map due to visibility range.
Would think that if the size limit was able to be lifted, and was presumably in place for the same reason, it might not be something he needs the Creation Kit for.

So...do not see a clear answer right now, but that might be the page to keep a watch on.

I still check in on the site periodically when I upload screenshots to it, and out of interest because the mod list has been growing considerably over the past few days.  If I see another mod pop up that serves the purpose, will let you know.

It does, but after going from NMM to MO, feel like I cannot go back.

There have been a few mods that have almost tempted me (one that puts pre-war assets into Settlement building, so I could have colourful trees and non-exploded cars), but have still avoided it.
Have honestly not had any ammo problems, so I have not missed ammo crafting yet.

Mod Organizer doesn't modify the original game folder to run its mods.  Means even with hundreds of mods, do not have to worry about breaking my folder.
I keep a backup of my game folder, but if I don't have to mess around with it I won't.
At this point, there is enough quality content and gameplay to keep me occupied without running the mods yet.

Thanks. Yeah I'm not really sure how all this stuff works, I don't know how long ago it was I had Oblivion but was never really into modding it, I just wanted to overhaul the graphics and stuff to meet the "standards" of games that were out when I got it (it was at least a couple years old by that point). I've modded other games, but not a ton of them and never really put in work trying to understand how the mod works or anything. Other than that I'm a complete noob to modding. I'm not sure if there's some reason why built sky scrapers can't exist without breaking the game while there are sky scrapers in the game that already exist. I'm sure it would be more resource intensive to load all those building items since the sky scrapers we have now are really only for show more or less and aren't really filled with anything. But the draw distance aspect of it doesn't seem like it'd be an issue to me.

There are a couple of other building mods I'd like to see, one is the ability to angle walls and rotate items and such to make better "fencing" on uneven landscapes.

This settlement aspect of Fallout I'm really liking a lot and see a lot of potential for it. I got sucked into Minecraft for a few months just because I liked the idea of creating whatever I could dream up. The entire world was blocks so it made more sense that everything would be squared perfectly. This world isn't square, and the ability to follow that landscape would be great.

Oh yeah angling would be great - as well as the 'not everything is beat to shit' mod... I mean why would you build a wooden structure with random boards at stupid angles and holes in the wall? Apocalypse didn't make you do that :lolsy:

If you give your settlers better guns, do you have to supply their ammo as well? Like say I want to give a settler that's in a guard post on the 3rd story of a building a sniper rifle, do I have to supply the .308 for them as well?

This thought had just occurred to me as I'm finally getting around to selling all the weapons and gear I've been saving to buy shit tons of ammo. I could've supplied probably every settlement with max people top grade weapons and armor. I dunno how many trips I've made back and fourth so far. I'm sticking with it though since I'm nearly done.

Also, is it just me, or do radiation storms become far more frequent the high level you get? The first one I ever saw I was like level 15-20 or something. Lots of hours of game play never one storm. A little later it was one every few hours of game play. Now it's like every hour or two..
