Found my companion for this playthrough -- Cait, the chemed up pitfighter.
Was just in Diamond City and she wandered off then got mad because the noodle vendor wouldn't sell her a beer.

Also just learned that the NPCs have unique dialogue based on the in-game calendar; one of the Diamond City guards made references to it being Halloween when my in-game clock hit October 31st.

Have taken to stopping in at the plastic surgeon on each character -- there are additional eye options that unlock by visiting him, so my characters have bloodshot eyes now.
It's the little things.

I just like that they let me use every button on my Naga for hotkeys now, instead of the 8 limit on Skyrim.

Im pissed because whenever i go to the plastic surgeon, my character is invisible. I keep thinking how easy it would be to fix this if i had bought the game for PC instead of console

I don't know why anyone would buy FO4 for console unless your PC sucked.. I can't wait for all the epic mods to come out haha.

I just got Fallout 4 tonight so I'll be checking it out. I have no idea what's new or anything so it'll be fun playing it blind.

Whoop whoop

So far I've found 2 or 3 (not including the one I came from) and think I remember finding some terminal or something that alluded to another one.

Head there on the map and look for the thing sticking out of the water

Once you complete the quest given you get three homing beacons that you can throw. They call in a nuclear bomb strike. They're awesome and so fucking brutal:

Had not known about it, but kind of presumed there was one out there.

the Aquagirl perk is just far too good of an opportunity to not have underwater areas.

By chance, is it a Chinese submarine with stealth capabilities?
Was reading terminals in one of the CIT-related buildings, and they were talking about the Chinese having more significant stealth capabilities than their suits.

I never assumed the aqua girl perk really meant underwater type stuff, though I did get a quest where some dude wants me to dive down and seal up pipes. Kinda assumed that was part of the reason for the perk. There's a ton of places I've gone through that have like knee deep water for long stretches. I assumed it was more meant for stuff like that. I've spent a good bit of time walking around in water in my play through so far.

I don't like being told of stuff like that though, I mean it's gonna happen occasionally and I'm really surprised about how well everyone is doing not to spoil stuff for anyone else, part of the reason I regularly come to this thread. The only reason I like to find stuff like that on my own is because I just like to get lost in the world, when I start picking out places I have to go to, it just isn't as fun to explore. If I don't know what's out there at all, I have all the incentive in the world go digging through every terminal, note and run down random shack I come across.

I'm pretty sure I just discovered a new vault that doesn't even show up on the map. It's either a vault or they got lazy and just tossed the Vault 111 elevator out in the middle of no where for no good reason. I'm assuming it's either going to end up being part of a quest or something later on is what enables it to be opened. Can't wait to find out. I don't even remember where at this point even though I just came across it within the last hour or so.

Now onto Stingwings.. I've been reading that stupid loading description on them probably daily, and every time I come across them they're even less dangerous than bloatflies. Out on the eastern side of the map though, I see what they mean. I nearly got my ass handed to me by a couple of them. Small target and had no AP, and every time they sting you, they get harder to aim for. I now hate those damned things.

Is there any reason to keep multiple sets of power armor? I've got like 4 now.. lol. Every time I get one is in the middle of a mission and as soon as I can, I just take it back and drop it off at my garage.

Had thought that the Aquagirl was for underwater portions due to how it functions -- if it had just been no radiation damage in water, would have written it off.
But it gives the ability to breathe underwater as well as not be detected while swimming, which suggests to me that there are fairly significant water-based points of interest out there.  Think almost 1/3 of the displayed map (ie: the area within the border box on the pipboy) seems to be water -- basically the entire south-east corner.

Maybe I just got used to looking for water zones because of Elder Scrolls and the Argonian racial trait.

Working on the last few steps of the third main-story play through, then seriously considering hopping onto my main character again and giving her the perk just for the exploration.  May not head straight for the submarine on the map, but that was kind of what I was looking for after reading the references to the Chinese army and navy's capabilities.  Looking for one of those Chinese Stealth Suits that was in the Fallout 3 DLC.

Can relate to this, it has also been difficult for me to avoid sharing everything I have been excited with because I realize that I am likely to be spoiling content for people if I do so.
There is some fun stuff going on around the map though, and I am kind of thankful for some of the spoilers out there -- if I had not saw the news story about the Enclave Power Armour, I may never would have gotten it.  I had already cleared out the area it spawns in, but I was not high enough level at the time so it had spawned just a low-grade power armor.

Stingwings only bother me for the same reason Radscorpions do -- I hate poison damage ticking on my health bar.
When either of them get into groups it can be obnoxious.

Do the same thing with power armour, do not think there is anything to hold onto it for aside from maybe parts and letting a companion use it if applicable.  I have enough Fusion Cores that I will hop into one if I find it out in the world and wear it for the rest of what I am doing before taking it home.
Just have a Brotherhood of Steel view of it -- gotta hoard all the frames myself so that the Raiders in the wasteland have less of them available to terrorize people with.

I can't believe it's taken me this long to figure out how to apply mods you have in inventory to weapons. I could've actually saved a good chunk of adhesive if I had known how to before. There are a few legendary weapons/armor that I highly upgraded to match the one I already had in my inventory. All I had to do was throw all the basic/lesser stuff back onto the older weapon/armor and put the mods on the new one. :mad2:

Just wrapped up the Railroad ending.
Had Idiot Savant pop up on the final step and got a whole bunch of levels all at once.

Railroad had a really quality narrative through their branch, but a bit of cross-over with other endings made the final quest a bit less exciting for me.

Still have to do the Brotherhood line on a fourth character, but going to hop back on my level 50 for a while first.

Spent some time swimming, for the most part it is a murky mess:

Which is a little discouraging, because there are a number of shipwrecks and everything, but it basically requires swimming blindly and crashing into them.

Did, however, briefly glitch the camera out and got to see without the murk for a particularly deep trench:

kind of a shame that it is unseeable under all standard circumstances.

Swimming is pretty awesome though, because it gave me access to my new favourite settlement area:

Ton of clearing to do, including under-water debris all around the shore, but it is basically a big, nearly barren place full of potential.
:awehigh:

This game is getting tedious. Think I will wait for later when dlcs or expansions come out. I played this so much it felt like people in life I come across I could talk to or ignore. And that their actions were allready programmed.

Maybe AI down the line to a massive tech difference. I could easily snap myself out of it it just felt weird like it was all programmed.

I will still build that fucking system to get into the future MIT, CIT, whatever. Seeing level 50 at the end of this thread. I got bored with the last Fallout 3 when the final one came out so it is time to turn to another couple of games.

At level 30. Like the graph novels I played I like just making my choice and pretending that is how it played out.
At least I can take the damn elevators now without worrying.

There's only 5 vaults in the game. I didn't actually keep track of how many were in the older games, but i feel like both had more than 5. Oh well though, gotta remember the fun part in fallout is AFTER you get out of the vault.
