Thus, stories are small things indeed in the scheme of the universe, but it is hard not to love best what is our own—hard for me, at least."

Just got an infinite cap glitch on ps4.
On the quest human error side with honest dan and free girl in the prison. Afterwards go talk to him and tell him to pay up. Walk away before it selecting the next thing you want to say to him, walk away and either shoot or get a few feet from him then talk to him again. The dialog should repeat itself and you can have him pay up again and again and again. 7K to 21k and still climbing. Each time you tell him to pay up he gives you 300 so I'm sure a better glitch will come along, but for now I'll take it.
Even better for me because i just stumbled on it myself.

Nearly 4 hours ago now I said to myself "I might as well kill 20 minutes by working on my settlement". I just now noticed what time it is and have that zonked out, strained eyes feeling. This is Minecraft all over again. Zoning out on my building and losing track of all time. My original intention was just to build up the gas station with the bare necessities so I could throw up a beacon and get people coming there, and then send them to my other settlements. It ended up being a 2 story building built on top of the gas station that has like 9 beds and a fully furnished living room downstairs with kitchen, furniture and even lights. Outside I've got spot lights and turrets everywhere as well as 2 giant generators, and walled off the entire back half of the property (where all the resources are). There's also lights everywhere outside.
The area is a pain to build a wall for because of how hilly it is. I had to get creative. In sticking with true scavenging and using what we got fashion, the holes under the walls are plugged with toilets and bathtubs. Thought about using tables and cabinets but you can't pick those up and manipulate them like you can bodies =/. Porcelain it is.
I really wish they'd just let us bury walls, I mean it's not like we can't do that in real life and not like it takes some super serious "not the end of the world" equipment to do it. What the hell .

Yeah, i got the 21k and figured I'll leave it at that. Hell i might even drop them all and just play through the game with what i had before. I'll use the glitch later if i ever get bored and just wanna try shit oit and need the caps to do it. But for now i think i don't wanna ruin the experience exploiting glitches. Ill make a file with 1 mil caps tomorrow just in case they ever patch it though and leave it at that.
There's better glitches though that get you more than 300 each time.

Cheats in games take the challenge away. The game keeps my interest and yes I can find every cheat on the internet. Read some. Beats the old days of massive color books to buy with the game.

Anyone noticed any effect to the scavenging stations? Do they just go find random junk and break it down and it goes into your workshop or what?

Do not normally care about achievements in games, but the Vault Boy pictures on the Steam achievements are fun enough that I actually like collecting them in this game.
Was looking at the global stats -- it is interesting to me that more than 10% of people who have the game have not made it out of the Vault yet.
The differences in completion are also really interesting. Minutemen ending has the highest rate of completion at the moment. Railroad has the lowest.
So instead of Brotherhood, my third character is going to be running the Railroad ending this time.
Wish me luck.

Have also taken to sticking with the Vault suit -- please correct me if I am wrong, but it appears to be the only bottom layer that can be upgraded to improve the damage resistances it provides.

I totally agree. Wjat i decided im going to do is get a ton of bottlecaps, like 1 million(probably not, will get boring quick) then save on an alternate file. After i do that I'll load my old one i haven't glitched and play keep playing the game legit. Then when that gets boring ill load up my glitched file and do some wasteland jackanape fuckery. But i want to stock up on easy caps before they end up patching it.

I want to get this game soon but don't want to have to buy a new console just to play it. For pc users do you use mouse and keyboard, or a controller?

Personally use a mouse and nostromo keypad for general play, then swap to my Xbox 360 controller for freecam screenshotting.

that keypad looks awesome! If I can play on a 360 controller though that would be great. I need new controllers for my game emulators. The cheap ones I have drive me nuts so I ended up *losing* them in my last move.

anyone run into a bug where your saves get randomly erased/rolled back? the game crashed yesterday and there are no saves from about 30 minutes of gameplay where i saved atleast 3 times.

Nope. I actually haven't really come across any glitches at all I can recall. The only thing I can even remember that may be a glitch is Deacon running around in his underwear. He's constantly changing his outfit, because that's what he does even when he's not a companion, so it's possible underwear is just one of his "costumes".

I've have a better experience and control with my Xbox controler, the razor mouse is slow and sloppy, might be settings or somthing but I've gotten used to the controller and finding the keyboard actions is frustrating.

I use a razor mouse and have no problem with keyboard and mouse. The only games I'll use controllers for are like action adventure stuff (like Prince of Persia) or racing games. I've been PC gaming, mostly online FPS for well over 10 years now. It used to feel weird and unnatural to use a keyboard/mouse but now using a controller is more alien to me than keyboard and mouse. It's all muscle memory for me now, I don't have to think at all about what keys I'm pressing. It's actually pretty rare that I don't just intuitively know what key does what for a game, even when the game has some feature that isn't common in other games. I did have a bit of trouble with throwing grenades/weapon bashing but now that I know a tap is bash and hold is grenade, no more issues.

I love my deathadder. I have no problems with fallouts controls.
Tho I kinda would like a favorites menu ala Skyrim instead of the one they used in this one. I like to change hats a lot.
